I feel honored to be a member of the Carrillo community. The teachers at Carrillo are dedicated to providing a quality education to all students. We all have one common goal which is to see all our students succeed.

I chose Carrillo as my own child's school, and then was fortunate enough to get a position as a teacher. My son's first years at elementary school have been made memorable by the time, energy, and complete care to detail that his teacher's have provided him. These characteristics follow all teachers at Carrillo. When I began teaching the fifth grade, all students came into the classroom well prepared, and with a uniform understanding of the high expectations that have earned Carrillo the designation of A+ School from the Arizona Educational Foundation. Not only are the teachers very professional, but the entire school community works very diligently to provide the best possible educational experience for all students.

As a parent, I have been very pleased with my children's success here at Carrillo Magnet. They were all very fortunate to be a part of a close knit community of teachers and learners. My children with the help of these educators have experienced a number of art, music and learning opportunities that they would have never received at the elementary level. The teachers are here to see every child succeed.

Great school, great teachers, great programs! The principal, Lori Conner, is very professional. The magnet focus is communication through creative arts. Carrillo has a technology, art, and music specialist.

As a parent, my children went to Carrillo. They had a wonderful elementary experience and enjoy coming back to celebrate many of the traditions at the school such as Las Posadas. I would recommend this school to anyone seeking a supportive school.

I am both a teacher and parent at Carrillo. We have had a new principal the last 3 years and I feel lucky to work at a school with such great parents and educators supporting our students. Our campus is very diverse with high expectations for all students who attend.

I have been an Exception Education teacher here since Jan. 2012. I love it here. I feel like I am part of a family. The staff is welcoming and the students feel welcomed and cared for by the teachers. If there are parent concerns staff members will go above and beyond to help.

Carrillo has been an "A" School for the last three years and has earned an A+ School of Excellence Award in 2015. If my kids were still in grade school, I would definitely send them here!!!

Carrillo Communications and Creative Arts is a fabulous place to work! We have a close knit staff and staff members that stay through the years and even generations! Our Fine Arts Specialists are top in their field for teaching young minds through the visual and performing arts. The Principal, Lori Conner, is a strong leader who listens to her staff and works along side each of them to make Carrillo a home away from home for staff members!

What happened to Principal Yvonne Ferreira? She is down here in Rio Rico and I would like some information about what happened to her. Why is she down here making our students and live less pleasant? It seems odd she drives about 80 miles each way everyday because she like it here. DUH.....Please answer anonymously if you need to.
