In looking for a school for our children, we focused on the athletic and spiritual side of the equation, as much as the academic side. Feeling that a well rounded child is a happier child. With that being said - ICS exceeded our expectations across the board. Our girls were more than prepared for high school socially and academically. We are forever grateful to the teachers and administration at ICS for doing such a wonderful job!!!

ICS is the BEST!! We sent all 3 of our kids there and truly don't have any complaints. The education they received was top notch. All 3 of our children moved seamlessly into local private schools. They all say that they were very well prepared. All of the teachers are caring and dedicated to what they do. Many of them have been there for years! The community is wonderful as well. Such a down to earth, supportive, fun group of people that are always willing to help! Truly the best!!

I am the parent of a graduating 8th grader. Our son came to Immaculate Conception from public school for 4th grade and I can honestly say that it was the best decision we ever made. The small class sizes, excellent teachers, and focus on faith were just what he needed. From his first days in school, the teachers worked to ensure he was in the proper class placement (and when he needed a smaller class with additional attention for English/Language Arts, it was available). ICS offers a classic education (think a focus on grammar, spelling, math, hands-on science, and arts & music). Students consistently go on to high school in higher level classes. The teachers at ICS truly care about the students. They have been responsive, proactive, and available. The sense of community and focus on Catholic faith are strong, among students and families, both in the classroom and out. If you're looking for an excellent academic program, focus on values and respect, and a sense of community, ICS offers the best value in the area - hands down!

We are so grateful for the opportunity to have had our daughter attend ICS this year for first grade. We honestly can not say enough praises about our experience. They have taught our daughter about giving, and kindness and they have so many activities outside of the classroom that reinforce her character. Her teacher Mrs. Cruz is unbelievable in her compassion and love for teaching. Our daughter was not able or interested in reading when she started and now she is a first-class reader. I sometimes can't believe how much she has learned in one year. ICS is an all-star school in every sense.

My family has been part of the Immaculate Conception School community for 7 years and I couldn't be happier. They are academically strong and challenge my boys to work hard, be independent learners, and to be curious, while also supporting them in any areas of struggle. They equally teach the importance of character, being kind, and giving back to the community with many service opportunities throughout the year. The teachers provide a welcoming environment and are dedicated to their students. My boys have loved all their teachers and always have fun and exciting stories to tell about their day.

The Immaculate Conception School in Towson (ICS) provides an excellent education in an environment that supports each child's overall well-being - spiritually, academically, physically, and emotionally. The staff, administration, and families' enthusiastic involvement in the school's mission creates a sense of community that is welcoming and engaging.

If I could do it all over again, I would not send my daughter to Immaculate Conception. Academically, the school performs better than most. However, the principal re-graded first trimester report a full week after they were already distributed. Meanwhile, her signature is on every initial report card. It is very suspect why only certain report cards were revised. They will do anything to be able to toot their own horn about academics. Smoke & Mirrors. Do not get me started about the social environment and culture at ICS. Thank goodness there are other private school options in the area.

If you are looking for a school that provides both a top notch education as well as a sense of community, this is the school for you. The leadership at the school is strong and dedicated. The teachers are very engaging and provide a safe environment for the children. During the pandemic, the school did not skip a beat. Our kids were in full time, 5 days a week, with all precautions in place so they didn't miss the classroom aspect of their education and it worked out very well. They are very dedicated to the school, the kids, and their education.

Our child loves school. He is engaged academically and socially (with friends and the community). The school and Parish work together, providing the full spectrum of academic, extracurricular, and essential faith aspects of the education. Lessons help students understand how all the subjects are related. It has been a pleasure to watch him not just learn what is in textbooks but apply those concepts to help others. From the youngest to the oldest, all students are encouraged to participate in service activities, fostering a sense of purpose. In addition to rigorous academic programs, there is a wide variety of extracurricular activities (athletics, theater, dance, music, academic clubs, to name a few). Parents are encouraged to participate in various ways through the Home School Association, volunteering to distribute lunches (Chick-fil-A twice a month) or assisting with extracurricular activities. You are also encouraged to communicate with faculty and staff, and we have found them to be very responsive and helpful. It is rewarding to watch our child grow as a person in a supportive environment while enjoying the process.

My children attended ICS for many, many years. I agree 100% these are stacked reviews giving ICS 5 stars. My experience could not be more different! To agree with other reviewers, there are absolute clicks including favoritism and if you are not one of these “selected” families, it is glaringly apparent. As you would expect in paying for a Catholic education, differences would be embraced and not excluded or ridiculed (adults included) towards certain children. The administration does not promote nor embrace diversity in any way and this is filtered down to the students to include bullying (which is tolerate here). The culture is toxic and although I thought they were getting a good education at the time, when they all moved to other schools, my children were behind in math and languages. I can say some teacher were amazing and supportive (although 2 were moved on for that very reason). The counseling team does not provide true mental health support and it’s more punitive than helpful. If I could do this over, I would not have sent them to ICS.

ICS has provided the structure and framework our boys needed coming off of virtual school during the pandemic. The curriculum is rigorous but it’s great to see our kids rising to the challenge and being empowered by all that they’ve learned.

Immaculate Conception has been the best decision my husband and I have made for the education of our children. The excellent teachers, resources, and countless extracurricular activities make Immaculate Conception an ideal choice. This past year of Covid has only proven to highlight the incredible dedication of the administration and faculty to continue operating at the highest standards while keeping everyone safe and healthy. My children have thrived in this environment and are well-prepared as they move toward their high school career. This school is full of nurturing and positive people. My children have met wonderful friends as have we. We love the community!

We are family that attended from pre-school to 8th grade and ICS was the best choice we could have made. Our boys had wonderful, caring teachers. The academic program is excellent. When graduating from ICS our sons found themselves very prepared for high school life. In addition to the excellent academics, they played sports and participated in some of the many clubs offered. There truly is something for everyone at this school! My kids often talk of friends they made throughout the years at ICS that they are still close to today. As a parent, I also made friends in the school community that have remained a part of our lives. This schools a special place. You can't go wrong with ICS!

Immaculate Conception School has been the best decision we could have made for our daughter. The environment is warm, friendly and nurturing but all the while serious about education. The teachers thoroughly prepare your child for the next step. We have been so pleased with the elementary school, that we have chosen to continue through middle school. I really need to commend ICS for their leadership during this unprecedented time. They have managed to continue In-person learning throughout the COVID crisis for the entire academic year (20/21). They remained diligent in keeping students, staff and teachers safe. This is a wonderful faith-filled community with an abundance of caring, talented, enriching educators and a close-knit group of parents and students.

ICS is filled with compassionate, dedicated, and hard working staff that care about the students and truly desire to assist them achieve success not only in academics, but in their spiritual life and character building. This has been evident even more so during the pandemic by the tremendous amount of effort they put in to offering the students a safe and engaging learning environment for both the children in the classroom and the children that have chosen to learn remotely. We have been extremely happy with our son's education at ICS compared to his public school experience. He was originally going to enroll at ICS at the start of middle school. Instead, he joined the ICS community mid-way through his elementary school years. This was the BEST decision, as he was able to spend his elementary years at ICS gaining familiarity with the school and had a seamless transition into their middle school program. He was well prepared, knew what was expected of him, had developed a nice group of friends, and had the confidence to tackle the elementary to middle school transition with ease. I would highly recommend if anyone is considering ICS for middle school to start their child in their elementary school program. Even our son has expressed how grateful he is for beginning his ICS journey in elementary school. During the first few weeks of school when he began at ICS he said with enthusiasm "I love it here!" He relayed to us he feels like a better student, works harder, and takes school more seriously. He attributes that to the devoted staff and their exceptions of him. We would recommend ICS to anyone looking for a positive school experience for both the child and the parent. Our son loves ICS and we do too!

ICS is not only a school, but also a community. Academics are rigorous and there is a great deal of homework, but your children will be well prepared for the next step into high school. I always felt comfortable communicating with teachers if I had concerns and they were very responsive. We met families at the school who remain good friends to this day. Although my kids have graduated, I have faith that the new administration will be effective in providing your child with a great, faith-filled education.

We can't say enough great things about ICS! "Community" is always the word that comes to mind when I think about ICS. As our daughter progresses in her educational journey, it has become even more clear as to how important communities are in the educational and spiritual journey of our kids. The ICS community is made up of great kids, involved parents and engaged and caring teachers. Our daughter is challenged not only academically, but spiritually as well as character building is woven into every aspect of the school program. This year, especially, with so many COVID precautions in place, we have been blown away by the commitment and dedication of the administration, faculty and staff to provide a safe yet engaging academic environment for the ICS students.

Awesome. I did extensive research before I selected ICS for my sons in 2012. I am so happy I did. My oldest son (now a sophomore at Calvert Hall) was completely prepared to succeed there. He was on target in all core subjects. Even more prepared than a lot of other guys.

We feel like the move to ICS 4 years ago was the best decision our family has made. The social, spiritual and academic growth that the school has developed in our son is amazing and we are grateful.
