I have had 4 children attend this school with different learning styles and needs. 3 out of 4 of my children have been treated well and very successful here. My one student with special needs was handled the best the could but they were not equipped to handle his specific needs very well. We have loved most of the staff and teachers we have encountered at this school. We have taken part in many of the after-school program opportunities, including ballet, board games, art, and tutoring. I wish the school had more mental health staff available for their students. Especially last year after the loss of a beloved teacher.

Lowman Hill is a small neighborhood school with a great "family" feeling. Students are cared about and treated respectfully. Academic expectations are high, while addressing individual student needs. I would recommend Lowman Hill.

Lowman Hill stands out as a beacon of excellence in Topeka and its environs. With dedicated teachers and staff who genuinely care for their students, coupled with impressive increases in testing scores and remarkable progress for all students, it's clear that Lowman Hill is where academic success thrives. I wholeheartedly endorse Lowman Hill for anyone seeking a top-tier education for their child.

Lowman Hill is a wonderful school, that is filled with diversity and many opportunities for learning. Topeka Public Schools is providing training for teachers to learn about engaging students in meaningful discussions while they are learning. The Lowman Hill teachers will be implementing this as they return back to school this fall. Everyone loves that Lowman Hill is small enough that many teachers know all of the student's names.

Lowman Hill is a tight knit community. The staff is like family and the atmosphere positive and kind. Teachers work tirelessly to ensure students succeed. Students take pride in their school through after school programs, student council, and outreaches. They believe they can teach every student and individualize instruction to make it happen! Love this school!

During our time at LHES, we have had 3 different principals which is reflected in both the successes and challenges. Overall, our teachers try hard to engage the students, are supported effectively by other staff, and the environment encourages learning.

Overall good school, we question the behavior of some of the students/teachers but its not the school in its entirety's fault. Most of the staff does an excellent job of tackling bullying/behavioral issues by making sure all kids involved understand the repercussions of their actions. They also go great lengths to ensure the needs of our child are met and help him progress both academically and personally.

Office staff is very disrespectful to parents and towards the students, they are the first people I see in the morning and it’s never a good experience.

My experience at the school has been very pleasant. The teachers and staff are always willing to help me when needed and always my children. They put the children first and do whatever they can to make sure the children's needs are being met and that they're learning

My experience at the school has been a positive one. The teachers work with administration and support educators as a team. Every student is individual and every student belongs to all of us. The teachers are invested in making sure that each child achieves and exceeds their personal goals. And the atmosphere is positive and orderly.
