I am a kid who when to this school and I personally really liked it. The teachers are good at learning, and most teachers are understanding. The teachers have fun, nice conversations with the kids about non-school stuff at the appropriate time, they offer extra help to kids who need it, most teacher teaching is understandable and if you don’t understand it they, like I said before, offer extra help and might even do one-on-ones. I feel like the teachers and staff here want the best for the studentsI’m also a kid who struggled with mental health and the school cared and tried to help. They informed the parents about anything concerning, they had conversations with me, and told me that they wanted me here and etc. Their support system is extremely good. -The teacher had kids(6th grade) take a test asking about how they felt, about home, etc and there was a hotline number and email for the kids who wanted and needed it(the hotline was in every kid’s test though)

My son absolutely loves Jay Shideler! It’s a fantastic school. I have no idea why others have had a negative experience our experience has been very positive. The staff is wonderful. Even during the most difficult part of the pandemic chaos, the school pulled together to let the kids know they were there for them even if the students were learning remotely. The teachers and staff had 2 different parades where they decorated their cars and drove through the neighborhoods to let the students know they care and miss them. His 2nd grade teacher also hand delivered an end of the year gift she normally sends home on the last day.Academically the school has high standards and is above the national standards. I highly recommend Jay Shideler and so does my son!

It was the absolute worst! None of of our concerns where taken seriously. The school was more concerned about money than actually teaching kids. They got mad when we pulled our child out of the school because they lost the government money for having a student w/ an IEP

JS has been exceptional at putting the needs of the kids first. They truly look at developing kids into adults and making sure their life is balanced. There are lots of parental volunteer opportunities which allows for us to be connectes with staff. The board is open to visitors which allows for comfort in the business side of the school.

Jay Shideler is a great learning environment, from the Principal, Teachers and Support Staff, Students, and their Parents, who are committed to a variety of continuous learning activities.
