My son was admitted to this school for there Duel Language program. My son had a rough time in Spanish so we had to remove him from the DLI program. He said one of his teachers were mean and the Spanish was just to hard. (My child was not the only one with issues in this class) Because of this he had some behavior problems. They denied his out of bounds for regular 1st grade not careing at all that his therapist said changing schools would be worse for him. There VP, the refocus aide and the Spanish teacher were the only people that tried to help. The principal is no good and straight up lied to me about not moving my son. Also, when trying to work with his English teacher for the behavioral stuff she didn't follow any of the suggestions given by me and my sons therapist. I highly suggest a change in principals. A principal that doesn't care about a child's wellbeing is not looking out for the kids.

The principal that took over after Renie Milne left is a hack. She chased away one of the best vice principals we've ever known. Mindy was exceptional and knew how to work with autistic kids like our youngest boy. The one that took over after Renie Milne is terrible. Our youngest has had nothing but problems ever since. She is clueless as to how to do her job.

We love this school. We've had a very good experience with all the teachers in the last ~5 years. We have 3 kids attending.

Northlake has an amazing staff! They take the time & care enough to know each student personally. The PTA is very well led & parent involvement is HUGE! Parents LOVE to volunteer. The teachers care about their students' success & do everything they can to work with parents & students to see that they do succeed.
