Love this school!! The teachers are amazing. My son had the best Kindergarten year and never wants to miss. All of the students look forward to coming every single day!

The schools lack of reponse to bullying is disgraceful and unacceptable . My daughter has had multiple instances of bullying by a group of boys in her class since September. The last incident being yesterday, where she was kicked in the leg by one of these boys. I’ve called multiple times, sent emails, requested a meeting with all parents (which was denied). I can’t believe the responses I’ve been getting from the principal, Mrs.Brown. She said to be considered bullying, my 7yr old daughter has to not want to attend school. It should never have to get to that point! In our meeting she asked me “what else I want her to do” and her response to my daughter being kicked is to move my daughter out the class INSTEAD of the boy that kicked her! This has been going on for almost 6 months with no resolution!

They are not prepared to handle new students from other (low-income) districts.

Terrific school! The teachers do all they can to ensure a quality education and are extremely caring. All 4 of my children have attended West Dover and have greatly enjoyed the years there. They also have a strong committment to a safe environment and an excellent communication link with parents which was invaluable to me.
