I toured other schools in the area looking for the best academics and Thousand Oaks High School stood out so we school choiced our daughter here. The two programs that stand out are Ethos, if she wants to be an entrepreneur, and The Center, which is only for the brightest of the bright. She is probably going to apply to The Center since she is an honors student and it seems to offer so many opportunities for help with college applications. So far, TO has been great. It has only been a few weeks into school but her teachers are excellent and communication from the principal through the weekly Green Sheet have been so helpful. It's a great school with so much to offer. We are very happy with our choice of schools.

The teachers are outstanding, the counselors make you feel cared for and they are very attentive to any problem whether it is bullying, course trouble, or even course work. I would strongly recommend it.

I've spent two years as a student here, absolutely wonderful staff and teachers. I'm not just exited to do higher level classes, I'm encouraged to do so by the wonderful teachers on campus. I know I can always talk to the counselors if need be, as they are very understanding and cooperative. But, I do feel the student body could definitely be guided to a less chaotic level- As I can recall a few times where some peers acted very inconsiderately to staff. Overall, definitely a fun school to be a part of.

My son is going to be a senior and he’s so happy to be back toIn-person learning. Even though school wasn’t the same because of the pandemic, his teachers did their best to make learning interesting and engaging. He is in all Advanced Placement classes, which wasn’t ideal, but his teachers prepared him well given the circumstances and the terrible schedule the district planned for both WHS and TOHS. In the end, I know my son will be well prepared for college and am glad this year is back to a normal schedule. One thing he loves about the school is the sense of community and school spirit which has definitely been missing this last year. It’s a great school, so I’m sure it will return.

Excellent - Both my daughter and I were made to feel special and supported. Kids worked together through APs and college essays and they all ended up in top notch universities. I was proud to be part of this unique school community.

This is a large public high school yet the students are treated as though they're in a small private school. My son is known by his teachers and encouraged to do his best. The staff, the counselors, and teachers are incredible! Thanks TOHS!
