Great school for the under achiever! Save your money and send your child to public school. My son was bullied for months and nothing was done about it because the principal himself is a bully. This school is in a sad state of affairs when they can even serve a decent lunch...this is why at orientation they stress "eat a good breakfast". I find the teacher at very nice but they to seem to be leaving little by little. It's like a sinking ship. They have a lack luster feel. So if you just want your in Catholic school and you have money to throw away...this is the place for you.

It's amazing ! Every school had issues. So all of the unessarcy comments are not needed. It's a great school, with great people and you wouldn't regret bringing your child here

Horrible school . The principal Peter doran is rude and disrespectful to parents and to students . If the leader of the school is rude and disrespectful imagine the teachers .

I currently have 3 kids that attend this school; they are all honor roll student athletes, and i could not be more impressed or happier that they are doing so well. The change of leadership should be good given the new principals' background, but remains to be seen. The new basketball Coach (from Rice) is phenomenal and has changed the Basketball Program at the school to win the Federation last year for the the JV & Varsity Teams. They are great academically and need to let students excel in both their athletics as well as academics to open up more opportunities for future stars / leaders to come from this school. I am looking forward to another outstanding year, especially with the sports recognition that the school is NOW getting because of STAR players that attend the school and are ACADEMICALLY SUPERB STUDENTS!! It is because of the overall package that these students bring to the table that schools like Harvard, Columbia, Princeton and Yale have taken an interest in the Scanlan Student; as well as some Big East Basketball Power House Schools. Proud to say that this is a great environment for my Honor Roll Athletes, and the teachers are great! Could use a Parent Association.

I am a parent of a student at this school graduating in 2015. I can honestly say that I had my doubts regarding this school and would have preferred my child to go to one of the other schools. However, I count myself and my child one of the lucky ones. The teaching is wonderful and the extra help the TEACHERS not honor students, TEACHERS give their students cannot be found anywhere else. They are there early, they stay late and help any student that wants the help. The Principal and Guidance our wonderful, informative and on top of things. The only thing I would like to see is more parent interaction and care with the school. Pride in where your child receive their education and more clubs. Clubs that teach but are fun as well. Other than that the school is AWESOME.

The school is really making some good changes throughout the years that I have been here. The sports trends are pretty good (baseball, basketball, volleyball). The baseball team won the CHSAA 'A' division championship last year and the basketball team is really stepping it up this year. With all these good teams the school still isn't a 'jock' school and they focus on the academics more.

This school is a real family like atomosphere, the teachers work really hard to get you through 4 years of highschool. The school prepared me for college and life which I could never repay them for. I couldnt have picked a better school.

I'm a freshman in this school. Class of 15' MSHS has any amazing faculity & staff to say the least. This school is pretty small so its great for learning and has amazing clubs , activities to do. BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM is the students particular freshmans and sophmores. 65% of the school [girls] are not good news. I advise you to take a second look before appyling to this school. If your child is quiet & kept to herself & is focused on school then no problem. BUT if your child is very social & Outgoing then I ADIVISE YOU NOT TO REGISTER IN THIS SCHOOL. IT WILL BE A MISTAKE. & with about 900$ a month for tutition theres no room for mistakes. JUST SAYING.

Some teachers that work at this school are awesome, but then there are the teachers that should NOT be teachers. My teacher actually made a sandwich in the middle of class. And during review week for regents and final exams, we watched animated movies. The principal is good and does her best to do her job, but the dean is way too strict. You get demerits for not having an i.d. I thought that was a little overboard. And the sports teams are a joke. Only the major sports are actually payed attention to. Baseball, basketball, and volleyball are the sport that people care about in the school. I was a member of the bowling team and was told there was no fee. My mom got a $100 sports fee. So this school is ok up to a certain point, then you just want to LEAVE.
