Tempe Preparatory Academy is truly an exceptional school that stands out among the rest. I value the rigor and rewarding academics, dedicated faculty, and vibrant community. The curriculum teaches many great literary works that are taught to challenge the minds of students and cultivate their critical thinking, and leadership characteristics. The teachers are very passionate and invested into the success of every student. They often go above and beyond to ensure that the student not only masters the material but also grow as individuals. The small class sizes provide a more focused environment, where the teachers can easily engage with every student. As well as their focus on academics, Tempe Prep emphasizes the importance of integrity, responsibly and respect. If you seek a school that prioritizes academic excellence, Tempe Prep is an outstanding choice.

Tempe Preparatory Academy is a very well acclaimed school, and for good reason. The curriculum is designed to be both challenging to students, and representative of a college experience, thus preparing a student as they continue to areas of higher education. The teachers and administrative staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful to students and parents alike. Tempe Preparatory Academy encourages volunteer work, and there are a multitude of clubs focused on helping the community through volunteering. Speaking of clubs, Tempe Preparatory Academy offers a wide variety of clubs focusing on education, entertainment, social engagement, or somewhere in between those. Overall, Tempe Preparatory Academy is an excellent school.

I am currently a junior and I can not recommend this school enough. The liberal arts method of teaching has prepared me for college and I am excited to finish off my high-school career here. The teachers and students are respectful and the learning environment allows me to focus on my studies. Everyone is helpful, understanding, and kind allowing for a safe and comfortable space to learn my material. The family engagement also makes for fun events and extracurricular opportunities.

TPA is a small school with a great curriculum and caring teachers. They are invested in each student, both as a student in their class and as a person. Extracurricular activities include everyone who wants to join and participate. I have good friends there who I like seeing throughout the day. I would recommend the school to anyone who wants a small school where teachers are good at what they do.

I have been at TPA for about six years, I have seen not only the campus grow and change but also the staff change as well. Everything has changed for the better. I really enjoy the challenging classes, it does keep me engaged and wanting to know more. I feel curious when I don't understand something, I feel the need to know more. Tempe Prep has a ton of fun things to offer, such as trips and social events. Due to the classes being smaller, you are able to connect and have a one on one relationship with your teachers which is extremely helpful and overall just better, in my opinion.

Tempe Preparatory Academy (TPA) offers students a well-rounded academic and extra-curricular education and experience for any student.TPA’s focus on Math, Science, Reading/Writing, Foreign Language, the Arts and overall Independent Thinking will provide students with the education they need for college and life. For example, a TPA graduate who attended ASU expressed how surprised he was to find that many of his college student peers lacked the ability to organize compelling ideas and arguments. From this college experience, he commented that TPA requiring seniors to prepare and then defend a major thesis better prepared him for college compared to most other high schools. In summary, TPA combines a close-knit supportive community, small class sizes, talented and passionate teachers, and plenty of extra-curricular activities ranging from debate to robotics and numerous competitive sports. Look no further for a high-quality and safe high school experience for all students.

We are pleased to have chosen Tempe Preparatory Academy (TPA) for our son's academics and extracurriculars. In addition to the rigorous education, TPA offers a wide range of sports and clubs for the students to participate in. The class sizes are small and there is support from the teachers/staff to make sure your child will succeed. Our son started at 7th grade and is now graduating his senior year. We feel TPA has prepared him to continue his education and more. TPA is a Great school with Great Faculty and Staff. I would recommend this school to anyone who is seeking a top-notch education for their children.

Tempe Prep academically is an amazing choice. The teachers are talented and passionate as well. The main problem comes from the school’s administration. If there were to be any sort of student conflict or ‘drama’, administration most often will show a generous amount of favoritism toward specific students, leaving the other party to feel completely invalidated and unsupported by administrators. A great majority of Tempe Prep’s staff and faculty is dedicated to ensuring the safest and most socially comfortable environment for ALL students; however this does not prevent the disheartening unfair treatment and negative bias towards certain students. Very disappointing.

I have 2 kids who have graduated from Tempe Prep and another one graduating in 2 1/2 weeks. I would highly recommend this school for their great academics and community feel. It is a small school with small class sizes. The teachers get to know each student really well and help them out in whatever they need. We love the great books that they have read and the HL class with the Socratic method of learning. The Socratic method of learning has led to some great discussions in the home as well. Tempe Prep has dual credit classes that help to offset the expense of some of the courses that they take in college. My kids have had excellent scholarship opportunities to make college affordable. Great school, community and teachers, what else can I say, this school is great!!

I attended Tempe Prep from 6th-12th grade and it was a wonderful school to help me grow academically and develop into the individual I am today. On top of the education, their guidance helped me find, apply, and get accepted into my dream school, and the community exposed me to all kinds of people who have now become some of my best friends. I would highly recommend Tempe Prep to anyone looking for a well structured, classic based, liberal arts education!

As a senior at Tempe Prep I have really enjoyed my experience. It’s really great to have a small class size, so I can bond with all my peers and be friends with so many people. The Socratic method used in classes engages my mind and makes me think more deeply about the subjects.

I am a junior at Tempe prep and have loved my experience here thus far. The classes here are unlike any of the other schools and challenge me daily. The teachers are also great and create a welcoming environment.

It is difficult to put into words my experience. My goal is for other parents to be able to make an educated decision. I have responsible children who have never fought homework or learning until they got to 8th grade at this school. Previously, I never had to remind my son to complete homework and he was completely independent. (I was very lucky.) To see the changes in my child as a result of so much pressure has been heartbreaking. He is completely overwhelmed with the amount of information he needs to regurgitate; it has squashed his love for education. It has been demotivating for him to say the least. I want to stress his struggles are certainly not for a lack of intellect and his test scores have always reflected his capabilities. There is a sensitivity chip missing at this school as well, which is not quantifiable yet is palpable. My child has described at least one teacher as "thinks she's better than us." I have picked up on that arrogance as well and was surprised that my son knew what I had already suspected. She's not the only one though I'm afraid. They have lost some of their best teachers recently, which could be a coincidence but raises red flags after my experience. This school produces results, but at what cost?

We absolutely love this school! My daughter's Math skills had improved immensely, and all of her teachers have been so engaging and supportive. The transition from public school to charter school, was not easy. The academic rigor at this school is much more intense than traditional public school. However, moving her to this school was one of the best decision we ever made. She has so much more confidence in her abilities. The teacher to student ratio is smaller, so she gets the attention and help that she needs when she struggles. Would highly recommend this school.

This school has given me many great challenges and pushed me to become the best student I could be. I feel well prepared for college after taking the curriculum at Tempe Prep. The teachers are great and so is the close community that has been established at the school. Everyone is very caring and included with activities and extra curricular's. Come to TPA!

Overall, I would give TPA a 9 out of 10. One thing that I really like about TPA is how everybody knows everybody and it kind of seems like a small community and it is very easy to make friends. Another thing that I find interesting about TPA is the sports programs and how tight knit everybody on each team is throughout the whole year. I know that I have personally met some of my best friends through the different teams I have been a part of. But despite the amazing community vibe, the homework load is always very intense and puts stress on a lot of the student population.

Overall, I believe Tempe Prep is a remarkable school. To achieve the success it does with such a small faculty/student body and limited resources is admirable. Oh course there are things that could change, but there's changes to be made in all schools. Would rate an 8 out of 10.
