I don’t agree with the schools lack of parent involvement and overall philosophy that if they don’t consider something to be a big deal, they won’t notify the parents. I picked my 5 year old daughter up with a completely different set of clothes on and no one bothered to call, email, or even send a note home with an explanation. That is very unsettling to see when a parent picks up their child. My 5 year old who speaks very well told me that she wet herself in a class after asking twice to go to the restroom and being told to wait. When I did contact the school about the situation, everyone blew it off with no accountability and pretty much blamed my 5 year old saying she is very quiet and shy. Her teacher responded with a very condescending insensitive email in which I think is very unprofessional. Then I received a phone call from the superior who constantly leads the conversation with what she assumes your going to say or are thinking and doesn’t listen at all. Her responses were just as scripted as the teacher. The thing that turned me off the most from this school was the response about that situation from all of the adults who my daughter is with 7 hours a day. It made me very uncomfortable to have her there at that point.Another thing is that I never knew how my daughter was doing in class or what she was working on in class. Nothing was sent home when she had “reflection time” because they feel as if it’s not a big deal. My daughter told me about it. I sat down as a parent and had a conversation with her about it, it it never happened again. Meanwhile her buddy is still getting put in reflection time and the reason I’m assuming is because her parents have no idea it’s happening. I never received a handbook or a lesson plan. This is a great school if your a parent that just wants a babysitter but if you want to be involved with your child’s education this is not the place.

My grandaughter has been attending CEE for four years since second grade. I am amazed at how much she has grown both academically, emotionally, and the amount of confidence she has in herself. She loves her teachers and staff. My husband and I plan to keep her here until she graduates to High School. What she has learned at CEE will definitely give her an advantage as she continues to further her education in the future.

CEE COVID RESPONSE: The staff at CEE did an amazing job! The principal Ms. Cochran and teachers acted quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Staff prepared both weekly content for website learning in addition to pick up paper packets for those that did not have internet. All core subjects were covered. A 1x week Zoom (complete with fun activities) or phone call were available so students could feel connected. Teachers answered calls and/or emails quickly if any questions or concerns arose. Very Grateful for all that this school did during unprecedented times.

We LOVE CEE! It's been a phenomenal experience, both for our children (with their love of the school, the teachers, their classmates, and learning) and for us (as parents who are grateful for a school that cares about the well-rounded growth of our children in every area). We HIGHLY recommend CEE.

We love CEE and their pre school program. We have built a wonderful community in this amazing school

We enjoy being a part of a small school community where it is easy to get in touch with teachers and the principal. The school environment and culture is very embracing of all students and their backgrounds. The school is flexible and always looking for ways to improve their academic curriculum and extra curricular experiences for students.

After researching and touring half a dozen schools in Tempe, none could compare to CEE. The teachers and staff are warm and welcoming, the STEAM approach accommodates all 3 of our children’s strengths and interests, and the level of commitment and passion the Principal devouts to the school is remarkable! We are extremely pleased with our choice.

Too many problems to list. Very disorganized. Tons of fundraising but students report computers rarely work. Some of the front desk people are incredibly rude.

I chose this school due to a referral from another satisfied parent. I was even more impressed after my kids were students there. My kids are thrilled to go to school every day. The teachers are wonderful. My kids are engaged. They are willing to try anything and they realize the correlation between work and achievement. My kids are confident, hard working students and I attribute it to CEE. I feel the social programs taught to the kids have even improved my parenting skills. Thanks CEE!!!

CEE offers the best of the best when it comes to academics and opportunity for our kids. The teachers support the individual needs of the students. From the learning growth to the arts and extra curricular, you feel the passion the teachers have to teach and mold our children. The academics are a priority, but CEE offers the experiences and life skills that are important to build our kids into successful young people! Thank you to all of the staff for caring, teaching and believing in our kids!

I believed this school to be great when we first started. Very home like and close. However things changed for me towards the end of the year. I am looking into switching schools.

Well first they have this thing called dollars for duds where you can wear whatever you want....however, you have to pay a dollar. The school is also too small and there is no switching classes and experiences on what other schools are like.

Spanish was taught K-3rd, but in 4th grade it stopped...hope that comes back...plus the kids need to learn keyboarding skills to type papers...and I would LOVE to see a cooking class plus some other core classes for 5th-8th grade...awesome teachers & front desk staff!

I'm a parent and a teacher at CEE. Both of my daughters have gone to CEE since they were babies. Our school truly practices the saying, "it takes a community to raise a healthy well rounded child." Teachers teach to each individual child with an emphasis on differentiated instruction and experimental learning through hands-on activities. Art, Spanish, physical education, music, and an emotional intelligence classes are implemented in each class weekly. Plus, there are many after school clubs provided too! We love the school, the principal, and the teachers.

CEE is a fantastic school! The teachers are caring, dedicated and highly qualified. Our child has been attending CEE for 8 years and loves it! The science, math, and social studies curriculums are top notch. Language Arts could use some boosting at the middle grade level, as it seems to lack focus and organization. Other than that, a great school! Would recommend to anyone.

This school is top notch. Teachers are caring. The principal is helpful and responsive. Class sizes are small compared to public schools. Amount of homewrok is just right. They have a great music program and wonderful choices of after school clubs. There are lots of opportunities for parent involvment. The small, community feel to this school is wonderful.

We absolutely love this school and the faculty. My daughter left last year to go to a middle school and has returned this year in 7th grade. Teachers and staff are wonderful! I would recommend this school to anyone interested in a great education and a wonderful family environment!

This school should not be listed on the "Great Schools" website. I would not label it as one of the great schools in AZ.

We are new to the school, but my experience has yet to be positive. The teacher is new and inexperience and has harsh communication skills with both students and parents. In addition, paying 65.00 for a "background check" just to volunteer at the school seems very unreasonable. Our other school had someone on campus who did it for free. We're not too sure about this yet.
