Both of my daughters attended Pauba Valley. My eldest attended 1st through 5th and my youngest attended k through 5th. The teachers here are absolutely amazing! Mrs. Pollak helped both of my daughters throughout the years and I couldn't be more thankful for her. The teachers and staff address any issues that may arise immediately and thrive when it comes to helping children succeed. I could only dream that my daughters could have these same teachers throughout their school years. The only thing that I could say negative about this school actually involves the parents. The drop off and pick up is horrific. Parents seem to forget how to drive and how to drive safely for our children. They block crossings at sidewalks, park in the red and even have their kids load up in the street. The teachers can't be everywhere and its our job as parents to ensure the safety of our kids. All in all, I highly recommend this school to anyone and everyone. Including those with children that have IEP's.

This was my sons first year at this school and everyone was so welcoming. The curriculum was challenging and helped him to excel. The teachers are amazing and have such great spirit. This was his best year if school so far.

Our daughter went here from kinder through fifth grade. Every teacher she had helped her tremendously in each grade. We are happy that we live in the Temecula valley school district.

I love this school! I grew up in an area where every school was a CA Distinguished School, so I have very high expectations. The school really challenges the students and acknowledges their achievements. There are so many activities for the children and families to participate in. The PTA is awesome! They funded a brand new computer lab, and are always putting on great events for the children. The school really makes you feel like you're part of the Pauba Valley family!

Having previously lived in Virginia and Pennsylvania, I am more than a little disappointed with this school. Saying this school has a GATE program is a joke. There is no specialist, GIEPs, support system or even differentiated instruction. Instead, gifted students are encouraged to read during down time or complete work in a different book. Nobody would ever hand an ESL student a Spanish-English dictionary and call it a day. So I will never understand why this is tolerated. My son is in a class of over 30 fourth graders with no teacher's aid. The student teacher ratio is publicly listed at being 22.5:1. Thirty students is too big of a class at the high school level-it's a disgrace in the 4th grade. The drop off and dismissal here is pandemonium. Instead of the orderly drop off and pick up systems most elementary schools adhere to parents drive like maniacs. Rules aren't enforced and 600 kids are just let loose at the bell. This problem is exaserbated by the lack of school buses. I understand that this may be good school according to California standards but there is a reason California's school system ranks 39th in the nation.

Our Daughter just completed 2nd grade at Pauba. This is our first year at this school and it has not been without it's problems. Great staff and teachers, but personally feel more needs to be done to tame the drama and bullying we have experienced there. The Principle does do her best to connect with the parents and the students, but agree she could be a stronger leader. Hopefully 3rd grade will be a more peaceful year.

Teacher are fantastic and dedicated to their students. There are great family oriented activities throughout the year provided by the PTA. Improved principal leadership would make this school pretty close to perfect!

We moved to Temecula from Carlsbad & were lucky enough to be overflow from Luiseno. It was a such a blessing in disguise. Although Luiseno much bigger & newer there is something to be said about a smaller school & the teachers. I feel Pauba offers a more intimate learning experience for the children & I love that. The front office staff are all amazing. Trudy is a doll & school nurses are very sweet. My son has Mrs. Wells for first grade this year & we are truly blessed to have such an amazing teacher. She is so wonderful! Unfortunately I believe she will not be returning next year which is a big loss for the school. Other than that the school is great & we are proud to be Pauba Pilots!

My son is very advanced for his age and grade. He had Mrs Longrie for Kindergarten and Mrs. Drlik this year for first and they passionate about their work. They have not compromised their dedication and or standards because of budget cuts and increase in class size. I am in this school and involved and can see growth and positive changes in my son because of Mrs. Drlik. Both of his teachers have always communicated very well with us and are an example of what every teacher should be. Despite of the problems we are facing in school changes, they have never lowered their standards or compromised their great character and have always put in so much more time, energy, dedication, than what was required of them.

My 3 children beagn their academics at Pauba Valley Elementary. I can not say enough wonderful things about their staff and teachers. I had an opportunity to relocate my career but my biggest pursuader was Pauba Valley Elementary. We definitely consider them as our extended family. Our children are very responsive to their program and are currently members of the Principal Honor Roll.
