They don't care about their students when it comes to bullying. They allow students to bully and SA other students with no consequences. They chalk it up to, "they're just messing around" because they are boys. There is zero accountability and administration would rather save the skin of an employees child than properly handle the situation. Watch your children at all costs.....or simply, just don't let your children go here.

The best high school in Temecula area. Recommend it. I had two sons there and they were ready to university, with high score with their current studies. Thanks

I am a current student at Great Oak and I think there is a lot to say about it. The Special Education program seems rlly good like those kids seem genuinely happy, staff is really good. Mrs. Santone, Ms. Quintana, Big Mike, Mrs. Brennan, Mr. Nevens, Mr. MacLean, Mr. Little, and Mrs. Clabaugh are just a few examples of the amazing staff at Great Oak. The leadership program is awesome and the members do a great job. I love my counselor and I feel safe at school. There was an incident in mid-March that many students felt the school didn't handle well, and I have to be honest I agree, I feel like the school does sometimes prioritize money making. But that said, I say that about the school as a whole, and I do not blame anyone in particular. Also I won't take stars off for this since the school doesn't control this but the food is nasty and the California Education system needs to do something about it. Like I am not convinced the Spicy "Chicken" Sandwich is real chicken. Idk man. But I like my school and honestly I think the staff are the ones to thank for that. 4/5 stars for a overall great high school.

the staff here sees students as nothing more than a statistic. i have diagnosed autism and anxiety yet every counselor and staff member brushed off my requests for accommodations with the explanation of me having good grades. so, if your test scores and grades are good dont expect any sympathy, these people dont actually carethey treat disabled students as zoo animals. i have a lot of friends that are disabled, both in special ed and just normal, and one thing is clear: gohs does not care about disabled students at all. accommodations that are REQUIRED BY LAW get ignored and brushed over. if you are disabled, if your student is disabled, if you have anxiety, if you need any type of accommodation no matter how big or small, you won't get it here.

My kids dislike the school for being too strict and force students to do more than they can. My opinion at best this school is a 7/10.

The faculty and staff are amazing. Always willing to help students and parents, and create an incredible learning environment as well as fun social environment for all students. Great communication to parents about events and issues. The culture of college readiness is of the charts!

Excellent mix of education and activities! We had 2 students graduate from here. IB and AP classes are helpful for higher education. The sports programs were a great addition for the kids to learn spirit and teamwork.

Awful experience at this school. Administration is horrible, counselors are worse, and teachers are hit and miss. God forbid your child is different from the norm. If they are, then Great Oak has no idea how to handle them. They have a LONG way to go to improve in this area!!

They have a BIG problem here with staffing qualified teachers in classes where teachers are on leave. Many teacers are "Missing" on leave of absences for various reasons and the students that have the misfortune of being in these classes are completely disadvantaged!!! These students are TOTALLY unprepared for AP exams. Nobody that heads these departments or is in the administration seems to Care about these students . Why are you putting long-term subs in so many AP classes ? These are students that have chosen to work hard and try to excel in their high school experience and you are completely setting them up for failure. I have talked to many parents whose kids had long-term subs in their AP classes and as a result they were not prepared at all to pass the exams. There are some amazing teachers there but there are also too many that have tenure that are lazy and do not seem to care or have any passion for teaching. They are there for a paycheck. You are not inspiring students to learn with that kind of an attitude. But again when your class there for a paycheck you're not too interested in inspiring people.

This school is AMAZING.Very spirited and positive. Very easy to make friends. Also in an awesome area. The teachers really want to help you. They actually know what they are talking about. I literally have nothing bad to say about GOHS. I went there freshman ear and had the best high school year of my life. Sadly, I moved out of state and started a new school. Very hard to leave such a good school. If you are moving or trying to decide what school to go to, choose here. There wouldn't be over 3500 students there if it was a bad school.

My Child Is Now A Junior At GOHS And Has Excelled In So Many Ways, I Can't Say Enough About The Staff And Teachers Here Are Helpful In So Many Ways, And Hold This School To Such Standards. This School Is All About Education. There Anti Bullying Is One To Be Proud Of . You Constantly Are Hearing Other (TV) Schools Talk Badly About GO, I Have Even Heard Moms Speak Ill And They Wounder Why There School Is Hurting. My Child Was A "C" Average Now A "B+" Student And Owe It To This Amazing School. As A Parent This School Gets My Seal Of Approval!! Not To Mention They Have A Incredible Athletic Department WitH Sports Ranging From Mountain Biking & Horse Riding......

My kids transferred from a small pricey private school is the immediate area. They do not hold a candle to GOHS. The QUALITY and PROFESSIONALISM of administrators, teachers, etc. is the BEST you will find. GOHS offers as challenging of an academic program as you or your high school student desire. Many wonderful sport programs to choose from and there is a club for everyone. Kids are the best at this school! It is large in size, but we feel it will better equip our kids for the transition to college.

NewSenior This Year My student came to Great Oak as a new senior. The counselors made it a smooth transition. They also have a few "meet n greets" for new Seniors. The staff and leadership has so many things in place to ensure new kids get acclimated and can smoothly integrate.
