Horrible school. My child is a victim to racism as she is white, has had issues with how people treat her and has been struggling in school. They denied an IEP request previously, she's passing but with C's and D's as she was declined the assistance. Had other problems with the school as well. I had read the bad reviews about this school when we moved here, hoping they were not true. I do not recommend this school to anyone. Avoid moving to this area if possible. I'm ready to sell my house just to find a better school system for my kids. Oh, and if your kid is sick, they have to be out for 5 days before they can return. Even though the VA school board requirements say fever free for 24-48-hours. This school has different policies than the state board administration. From the handbook for VA: Virginia school board requirements for sick kids: Kids can return to school and childcare when their symptoms are getting better overall, and they have not had a fever for at least 24 hours.

Teachers are great so far however there's a lot of bullying that went on last year

I have been very pleased with Tappahannock Elementary School. All of my questions are always answered in a promptly manner. My child is well taken care of. I couldn't have asked for my child to attend a better school. THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL! ! ! GREAT JOB EVERYONE! KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!

The teachers are amazing and care about our children. They take the time and make sure our children are at the level needed.

My son is a Pre-K student at Tappahannock Elementary School (TES). He loves being able to go school each day. He has made friends and talks about how much he loves the teachers and staff. The teacher has worked with him on learning routine and expectations, as this is the first time for him to be in a structured learning environment. I am grateful for my son to attend TES.

My son is a Pre-K student at TES. He enjoys coming to school each day and loves the teachers and staff at TES. The teachers and staff at make sure that the kids are safe and follow the safety guidelines in place to allow for in-person learning.
