Unbeatable riverfront campus location with an immense number of opportunities to live and to learn in, on, and around the Rappahannock! Students open to the idea of discovering who they are meant to be are given grace to live into this process of self-discovery. Parents are assured that teachers/administrators know each student and foster each girl's potential over the course of upper school. Growth takes time. St. Margaret's has stood the test of time for over 100 years as an independent, college preparatory all-girls school and has grown in age and grace. As SMS alums venture into the world beyond its banks, they grow in age and in grace. That very grace emanates into the world and makes it a better place for each of us.

St Margarets is a wonderful school!! Beautiful campus, fantastic staff and just a great place to be! Our eldest daughter attended and now our second daughter. Our third daughter is the next in line and we cant wait!

Love Love Love St. Margaret s School. The girls are taught to grow with grace and be kind. The academics are rigorous and the girls are well prepared for college. The campus sits on a beautiful river and the views are breathtaking. The new Headmistress has an impressive resume, is dynamic and enthusiastic. I would recommend St. Margaret's to families interested in an All-Girls education.

This school is a hidden gem! I wanted my daughter to be prepared for any university, including the Ivy Leagues, and St. Margaret's School is giving her an education that ensures she is completely academically qualified for any school she chooses. What amazes me though, are the intangibles that I see in my daughter because of this school: confidence, loyalty, kindness, responsibility, accountability, compassion - to name just a few. This school is very diverse. The girls and faculty appreciate others from every background and creed. You only have to be on campus for a short while to realize everyone is accepted for who they are, and that community is a big deal. As a boarding school alumna, I researched all the possibilities for my daughter's education knowing that the fit of a school is critical. When my daughter experienced the atmosphere on this campus, she never looked back. I highly encourage anyone looking for an all-girls education to include this school on your list. It may be a small school, but it rivals the big schools in some of its unique programs and the caliber of students it graduates. I will not hesitate to send my other daughter to SMS when the time comes.

I did not like this school at all. I sent my daughter here and she had the worst experience of her life. There was a lot of discrimination towards my child and as a result I had her removed from the school. I do not recommend this school to parents or children. The only thing my daughter gained from this school was a few good friends that I know she intends to keep for life. But other than than I would give this school a 0 out of 10. I am sorry but this is one of the worst schools she has ever attended.

Loved the school and I would definitely recommend it to others. Students are a priority there. Lots of support, encouragement, and academically challenging. I was totally prepared for college after graduation.

A wonderful educational opportunity for young women. The classes are small and the faculty are committed to providing the best posssible education. The student body is extremely diverse, encouraging the girls to think globally on this beautiful, safe, small-town campus.
