This has been a great school for all of my kids. I like that it is small and that you get to know all of the teachers and staff one-on-one.

This school is a stepping stone for teachers and staff. They are all amazing to my children, but they keep leaving. I have seen four principles in six years. Only three teachers have been around for the entire six years. I thought it would be great for my youngest to have the same teachers I built a relationship with my oldest, but none are still around for that to happen. I still love the school, and my oldest is very upset to be leaving for middle school. It would great to keep building on a relationship instead of starting over every single year. This year I once again get to meet a new principal and a new first year teacher for my youngest.

My child started Pre-k 2013-2014 and this school really believes in segregating the children from the rest of the school from the morning entrance issues to the school activities. Ms.Hill acts like she is zoned out everyday and has no clue what is going on half the time. Can't and won't answer parent questions. I gave parent involvement 4 stars because if the teacher would ask for help the parents have waited all year. This school is the only one that doesn't allow these kids to participate in field day or receive the same items that are supposed to be given to all students like their slogan says on their phone messages. Talbott shouldn't have a Pre-k program because they have no idea how to include these kids with the rest of that school but they receive the government funding. We even had to fight for ice cream since the rest of the students are allowed to have it.

My daughter started the Pre-K program for the 2012-2013 school year and I have been so impressed! At first, she was going to go to Jefferson Elementary but I am so glad they were full and I chose to send her to Talbott. My son however goes to Jefferson Elementary because Talbott doesn't offer the program he needs. Let me tell you... RUN from JE, just take your kids and get as much distance between you and JE as you can! The teachers here seem to always be pleasant and Ms. Hill and her assistants have been awesome. The school never smells gross like it does at JE and the cafeteria isn't nasty and doesn't have that funk smell when you walk in it. Even the teachers wear gloves when they are assisting the younger kids. It's a little bit further than JE from my house but I will gladly drive the distance because it's worth it. Even the new principal, Dr. Sharp, is always nice and smiling and wanting to get to know the students and their parent(s). Friendly atmosphere and inviting.
