We had just moved to the district and a month in, my daughter suddenly began to suffer unexplained physical neurological issues. She was presenting with loud vocal and motor tics that would have been a distraction to the class and embarrassment to her. While trying to figure out what was going on with doctor appointments and such, my daughter missed a lot of school. I was in constant contact with her teachers, administration and counselor. Keeping them updated multiple times a week. I was trying to get her help to continue school at home while we were in the process of getting her medical care. Nobody at the school responded to my requests for help. Only one teacher contacted me to express concern for what my child was experiencing. Finally, the AVP and school board sends me a canned email about my daughter missing too much school. DUHH!! I was furious. Not one helpful person in the district. Not one. Fed up, I just unenrolled her from the school altogether. We eventually settled in a private school where the faculty actually cared and helped get my daughter back on track. She graduated this year. NHS student and secretary of the student council. Amazing how kids can recover when they have the support they need.

Seneca HS is the least desirable HS in the Lenape District. Sports, clubs, and activities are much better at the other HSs in the district, maybe because Seneca sits in a rural area, with lower income students, and is smaller than the others. Some teachers and administration members are great, but most are there to collect a paycheck. They have been trying really hard lately to portray Seneca HS as a “family”, as a place where everyone cares about the students, but they are putting more effort into making parents/students believe the message than to actually caring for the students.If you do not fit the mold of the student they want you to be they’ll make you be miserable in this place. Also, the administration is out of sink with the students background . They ignore the values and culture of the small towns this HS serves, there is no reaching out trying to understand where the students come from.

I have had 3 children in Seneca, one of whom was in Special Ed and another in AP English, AP Science and Honors Math. The staff is caring, informative and helpful. All 3 have received a great education.

Dreadful, the administration isn’t ran by locals, which causes lots of problems and disconnect between teachers and students. Very hostile environment.

This school is not very diverse and neither is it's staff. The staff is made up of either teachers that want to help your child succeed or don't care. The four years my child attended this school it was just very difficult dealing with the teachers, coaches and office. We caught them in more than two hand full of occasions not returning e-mails or phone calls and being dishonest. When issues were brought to assistant principles attention, still nothing was done. Everyone seems to be related or buddy's within this school. The overall sports in this school is below average. Very few sports are good at this school. The overall coaching philosophy makes no sense at all. This school has potential to be great but, needs to eradicate at minimum 35 to 40% of its staff with new uplifting and spirited individuals to mentor and teach the youth.

It is an absolutely wonderful school with GREAT staff and caring teachers. Wouldn't want my children to go to any other school.

I have been an involved parent since my Son was in elementary school and now that he is a H S Senior I am so glad that it's in Seneca High School ! The teachers have all been amazing and always welcoming in any emails or questions. My Son started new in 9th grade and he had no issues whatsoever...the students are caring and respectful and the teachers all are seriously into their jobs. The clubs are amazing and the school is about encouraging charity work .I cannot say enough good things about Seneca High School it's staff, and the kids .

Seneca is too large, just like its sister schools. Children are just a number , and get lost in the cracks. There are no programs to assist children when they are challenged with a particular subject. It is not a good school for the average student. The children are like cattle. They are assigned a number, just like their parking spot. The teachers are just logging time to collect their pensions. No fire exists, within their bellies to reallly help the kids. The school is a breeding ground for mediocrity , and drugs, not unlike Lanape, Cherokee, and Shawnee. If we had money, we would do a private school in a New York minute where our children would blossom.
