Horrible school. I hate it a lot. Destroyed my mental health and the people here are horrible. I cannot wait to move schools. :)

I’d say we started at a 10 and have fallen to a 4. Classroom sizes have grown and even though we built a new school they made the classroom led to small to accommodate the amount of students we have! Lots of class options have disappeared and in spite of the very high taxes we still supply the classrooms out of pocket plus pay for activities etc it’s very expensive to send your child here . I think the leadership prior in both the town and the school was better 10 years ago! I wish the new people in power did a better job of managing the teachers, I wish the teachers did a better job of focusing and teaching. It was once an impressive curriculum and well led. The superintendent we had was always in her office working and things worked well. I love as a person who we have now he is always out of his office walking around , knows the kids names he is a really sweet guy, but he is not a strong leader ... his job isn’t to patrol campus, it’s to get programs funded, be aggressive with the weaker staff. I think highly of him as a human and poorly of him as a leader.

Teachers were phenomenal at Sutton Middle School. The guidance counselor, however, did nothing to help me or my friends throughout friendship troubles, applying to another school, etc. The teachers make up for that. A new school was finished by the time I was in 8th grade. The new building is very bright and open. Overall, the teachers really have their hearts in the school and that shows during the class.

The school is currently being replaced with a new building, which is needed. The teachers are adequate, but the principal is lacking leadership qualities, so much so, that I am surprised he is even in the position. He even hands off school policy decisions to the parents association. Students do not have a great deal of respect for him, but good teachers seem to make up the difference.
