So many of the teachers are truly amazing and love being at this school. The principal is great. I do wish the hi-cap program had more resources to help the hi-cap students. The music teacher is great.

Sultan Elementary School has bent over backwards to make sure that both of my children have had all the support and encouragement they needed. Both of my kids are on IEP's and I every single staff member is caring and kind. The teachers teachers are so good at making learning engaging and fun they work tirelessly to support and care for their students. I am so grateful for everyone who works and has for my kids here at Sultan Elementary.

We have really enjoyed the school over the last couple years that we have been involved. Each of our teachers have been excited, welcoming, and kind to our children. I have found the administration, office ladies, and extra curricular staff to be amazing. The PTO is awesome. And they keep trying to find ways to improve. I feel safe leaving my children there and they feel safe as well. I highly suggest getting involved. The more you interact and integrate into the system the more you find good hard working people.

Sultan Elementary has provided a wonderful learning environment and foundation for both my children. Being in a small town there is a real sense of community. The teachers and staff really care about the students.

I am a parent of 2 children at Sultan Elementary. We moved here due to home prices. I feel I can't rate this school honestly with just stars alone, because we have been lucky enough to have some truly WONDERFUL teachers during our almost 3 years at Sultan Elementary (which has been what has made our experience overwhelmingly positive). The amount of care the teachers put into their students (despite a lack of resources) should definitely be recognized. The school is over-crowded with kids due to fast growth in Sultan (which will only continue), and the community has not shown overwhelming support to pass the school bond which, despite personal opinions, of course DOES affect the students, staff, and overall ability for Sultan Elementary to reach its full potential. The campus is old and needs many updates. There is a major lack of communication, likely due to the teachers being stretched too thin. So many kids are in small portables and have to wait outside in line to use portable bathrooms. Kids each lunch in their classrooms. There could be much more support for kids at SES who need extra behavioral help, special education, and those who quality for hi-cap programs. These are NEEDS, not "wants," for the children of Sultan. This school should be something the community takes pride in and supports. However, in spite of all of this and the complicated ridiculous politics involved, the staff and principal are extremely caring, listens to your concerns, and seems to make every effort to help students succeed. There are new after school programs being initiated, school events are always run well, and teachers and staff put in an enormous amount of extra time to stretch what they do have. I also think the specialty teachers are what make the kids' days brighter- STEM, Music, Art, PE, and Technology are always the "most talked about" when my kiddos come home. I think we are honestly just blessed to have the staff that we do, but they are truly functioning in less-than-ideal circumstances. The school, the staff, the kids, and the community deserve better. Until then, there are people in the community who do really care and are involved, and the staff is what makes this school what it is.

My child hates missing school. She loves her teacher, P.E., Music, and Computer class. There is always an event or activity that she is looking forward to.

The teachers at Sultan Elementary are wonderful. They really seem to care about the students. Mrs. Anderson, the school principal is very involved with the students and she is easy to talk with. We recently enrolled two our boys because homeschooling was no longer working. One of our sons learns very quickly and rather than letting him sit in class and be bored, as I believe many schools would have done this late in the year, the teachers and Mrs. Anderson worked hard to get him into a class that challenges him more. On their first day of school both of my sons came home with welcome letters from all of their new classmates. SES is wonderful learning environment with teachers that really care.

My daughter has spent Kindergarten through 5th grade at this school with great results. She has enjoyed her classes, especially since entereing the advanced excel class for 4th and 5th grades. It was more challenging, which kept her interest, and the teacher was terrific for this class. All the teachers genuinely care about their students and work hard to not only teach them but nurture them when they can. The PTO is a strong, supportive, helpful, creative group, though the number of active members has varied over the years. New parents are warmly welcomed and it isn't at all like a clique as in some schools. There are many activities and events throughout the year, which helps the kids feel like they are part of the community as well as the school. For a few years there were an excessive number of assembiles, but that has been changed to allow more teaching time in the classroom.

I have children at Sultan Elementary and I like the school. I think the teachers work hard to challenge the kids, keep them performing at standard and generally care about the kids. The teachers union is strong which is frustrating sometimes but overall the school is good.

I have had at least one child at SES for the past 8 years and overall it has been a much better experience than I ever expected. The teachers are among the most dedicated staff that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. The parents that are involved are fantastic. I just wish that there were more parents that took the time to get out there and be involved. LOVE that there is a Watch D.O.G. program at the school. Do I wish that there were more afterschool programs offered, yes? But my children are learning more and more everyday!!!

Sultan Elementary is a great school and place for families. It has highly educated and dedicated teachers and good leadership in the past three years. Scores have been rising on the WASL and MSP in Reading, Math, Writing, and Science. There is a new energy at the school, and a welcome atmosphere. Parents love coming to spend their day volunteering in classrooms. It is a great community school that has gone through many changes in the past three years.

Sultan Elementary is an excellent, up and coming elementary school. The community is genuinely diverse, both socially and economically, and is sincerely devoted to the education of its children. The principal works very closely with the teachers and parents to make sure school needs are being prioritized and met, and recently standards have been improving across the board.
