It was a rocky start, but it has greatly improved.

My daughter has attended this school for 4 years and she and I absolutely love it! She is in 3rd grade and reading at a 6th grade reading level. The teachers and principal, Mr. Brown, are encouraging and go above and beyond for the students. They make learning fun and reward students for their accomplishments. This school is a safe haven for the students in this community. Mr. Brown is the best principal I have ever encountered and he has created an energetic and fun atmosphere for student learning.

Whoever said this school was bad was OFF their ROCKER! I have have NOTHING but good things to say about this school. First off you just have to realize it is a poor community. However, the teacher as a whole staff are the BEST I have ever encountered. They really do their best and know EACH and EVERY student. Every teacher I have dealt with will always take the time to listen to any concerns and does their very best to approach it. I don't know who the principal is this year, as I have moved, but Mr. Brown was EXCELLENT and really communicated with me, and my children. The office staff is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable coming to the school. They have lots of parent involvement days, and a very good turnout for these. They try very hard to make sure your child does not fall behind. Only good things to say! :)

By far one of the worst! I have 2 children that attend this school and it is the worse. They have had 3 principals in the last 2 years, the staff is rude, the aides are disrespectful, some teachers cuss at there students. My child was being bullied at school and nothing was done about it. Spoke to everyone and nothing was ever done. It's gotten to the point where I will be taking my children from that school because they just don't care. I def. don't recommend this school. I'm such an unhappy parent when it comes to this school. I went to a PTO one time and I was completely ignored by everyone. No one came up to me and asked me what was going on. This school just doesn't care!!!!!
