Our children have had a great experience at this school. We have been especially impressed with the teachers and the principal.

This school WAS great but now I'm not so sure I'm not a worrysome parent that dosen't that wants this school to be perfect I went there for 6 years I'm a seventh grader now so I'm at a different school but my little sister and my two cousins go there and the new principal isn't as good as the old one neither are the new teachers, when I was in 4th grade we went to Catalina island for three days on a SCHOOL field trip that was the BEST trip ever I will always remember that and it's been going on for a while but it stopped this year with a new teacher. My little sister and a couple other kids who have older siblings that were in that class are in that same class but they didn't go so now I'm questioning my stars 3 or 4?

My family has a long history at this school. My children all attened and were in the GATE program. The results were some very well educated kids. There were no issues with problem children like others schools in Porterville. The entire staff is wonderful and well qualified. The students are great and have opportunity to transfer to nearby Sequoia Middle School when they are through. My kids came out safe and well educated, very happy with this school. The parents are welcomed by staff and make you feel very comfortable if you chose to volunteer. Lots of parents do volunteer, its nice!

I graduated from Westfield as a child and also my siblibgs. I had my daughter attending a different school becaise it was closer to home. We had problems with the staff and a bully at a different school and the school refused to accept responsibility nor address the issue. I transferred my child to Westfield and met the Principal the same day. Not only did he assured us that Westfield had zero tolerance for bullying but he also made an effort to become active regarding my daughter and her special needs with the help of the school nurse. An added reward was to see the Principal involved with his students. He would greet the children by name and also know moat of the parents by name. My daughter is now in t. GaTE program 2 years strong and my son also started school this year as well. One happy momma

The school is amazing, I love the teachers and also the office staff; Erika and Lisa are awesome. I always get my questions/concerns answered quickly. No complaints my girls love it there.
