If I could give this school zero I would. The special education “pull out” system that the sped director Jessica is running is a joke. Her exact words to me were ‘these kids aren’t going to amount to much. I guarantee all of them are going to end up in an assisted living’ THIS IS COMING FROM A SPED TEACHER!!!! she has zero care for the children and didn’t push them to amount to anything. She had zero expectations of them and was clearly just letting her paras babysit them. Kids with disabilities are kept AWAY from their peers with no integration but twice a day and only in special classes. The entire sped program including BOCES is a joke. They don’t care about the child and as Jessica stated they clearly believe ‘they’ll amount to nothing’Discussed and appalled they would keep someone like that around. And yes this was reported to BOCES AND THE STRASBURG SCHOOL.

My kids have loved every teacher that they’ve had here! Love the free events that the PTO puts on for the school! Open communication with their teachers, they’re at grade level or above, and they’re excited to go to school. Not a fan of this new 4-day school calendar but the decision has been made.

Inattentive staff - hit or miss. Schools and district only care about implementing resources or special education services if it’s an obvious case. Horrible about communication, implementation, ownership, and acknowledgment. Systemic issues from the top down.

Not many kids with disabilities and no resource to handle "behaviors" when they have them. Rude, entitled staff. A lot of bullying. Kids only have 10 minutes to eat.

This school is very unorganized, horrible communication between school and parents. Some of the teachers are not doing their jobs. Honestly, I will not be sending my child back because of the situations I dealt with. I did not feel secure with my child attending this school. My child fell behind and no one made me aware of it. Principal had no idea on situations in his own school.
