Newton school is excellent both in leadership and in the dedication of teachers. Communication between staff and parents is great and the services they provide (along with the quality) is second to none. Newton is one of the best elementary schools in the state, providing quality services and academics. This is coming from a parent who has a child on an IEP. I saw an earlier review-"you have to advocate for your child". Well isn't that called parenting?!

You really have to advocate for your child's best interests. The school-- once stellar-- has been going through a difficult time for the past few years with constantly shifting leadership and a feeling of mistrust between parents, teachers and students. It's a shame. We can only hope that new leadership and strenuous effort towards better communications will yield a return to the former high standards the school used to meet.

Fantastic school with excellent staff! We specifically moved to Strafford to send our children here. The school is small and provides a family like atmosphere where everyone knows everyone else. The parents and community are very involved and the coursework is challenging. We recently considered moving out of town, but after researching all the other schools in the towns we were interested in, we decided to stay. No other school even compares!

Newton provides a supportive environment both socially and educationally for students. The teachers are excellent at communication with the children and with parents. I wish I had gone to school there.
