Very small enrollment. Very much a small town school in the middle of nowhere.

My child transfered into this school at the end of the school year last year from a very good school academically and sports related. I was told thi school was fantastic and the girls sports as well. They school is one of the worst schools I have ever seen in my life! I am currently taking my child out and they were barely there a year. The academics are horrific, my daughter is a straight A student and only has 2 classes because they have nothing more to offer her! She is outstanding in athletics and has been mistreated and never played since we came here, by her coaches and teammates. If you are not a local you will never make it in this town or school. We barely made it a year with 3 kids, horrible horrible school. And you have to pay out of pocket for some of your childsd classes and labs and such. This school IS GROSSLY underfunded. If you want your kid to get a good education or excell in sports or anything else steer clear of this place. Terribly disappointing and I cant believe this school is still open, the bullying is beyond out of control!!!!!!! And the teachers are seriously lacking in their ability to teach your child anything!!!

As a parent of a former and short lived attending student at this school, I was appauled by the school. My son never had homework, he was very talented in the arts, and had a high ceiling for reading. With that said he was never challenged by the staff. Football is far too important as well as its sports program as a whole. I withdrew my son from North Jackson and enrolled him at Scottsboro City Schools and he now has graduated from Alabama and a successful corporate investment banker. This school needs to be shutdown for lack of everything.
