Good playground but quite open to the public so not too safe. There was a lot of repetitive homework.. Kathleen Miller is an okay teacher. Michael Masa didn’t allow students to make birthday parties :( Boring events.

School overall is ok, pta is great but not very welcoming to help. Staff favors pta kids as the very few and limited activites they offer pta kids get in every activity.Thyw have basketball 8 weeks 5th grade only, no band. Art was cut this year and half the classes have art the other half no art! NO MUSIC AFTER 2nd grade, no technology, no lamguage, no drama and grades rotate and if lucky go.out for lunch 2x weekly K 1 2 dont go out until december!

As a second year parent here, I must edit my review. It seems the education varies wildly by teacher. This year the work was not challenging or engaging for my child. There is no ability to teach to at a higher level. The education is based on the lowest common denominator. Recess is still only every other day. The special programs rotate throughout the grades so one year, they may get dance or drama but the next year, they may receive nothing. It's all a toss up. Despite more focus on testing, the ratings for this school continue to go down.

The school really needs some work on their treatment of students with disabilities. It is unlawful and wrong to have SWD take exams while kneeling in the hallway, or to have them left out of school activities/functions due to their own staffing shortfalls. Overall the staff are friendly and nice, but I wonder how well the teachers understand their students' needs.

This is my daughter's 2nd year at this school. She is going amazing well due to the hard work and dedication of her teachers. The school is very inviting to the parents and always keeps us informed of all the schools happenings. The building is very clean, the office workers are very nice and always take their time to answer all questions I'm very happy to be part of this school. I also have a 13 year old who is G&T she attended 4 different elementary Schools none of which compare to this one.

My oldest daughter is currently in 2nd grade. My youngest daughter will be entering Kindergarten later this year. I was a little nervous at first this year, given the level/content the first graders were learning. I thought it would be hard for my daughter, but she has excelled this year, so much so that she achieved the student of the month award. Now, we have strict rules at home when it comes to homework and studying, and that 15 minutes of reading everyday. However, the second grade teacher has really encouraged my daughter to excel, but urging her to increase her classroom participation. This has worked WONDERS for my daughter! My oldest has attended this school since Pre-K. The assistant principal and the teachers have really impressed me with their care and sensitivity! Everyone is nice and accommodating! I think the cirriculum is a little intimidating, but since my oldest daughter is doing so well, so be it! A very good school! I am pleased and anxious to see if my little one will excel the same.

My son began Pre-k last year and is currently in Kindergarten. He has had 2 AMAZING teachers and I can only hope for the same when my younger son begins in September. I feel this school is a safe, bright and welcoming atmospere that helps my child focus, function and feel safe. They have a great curriculumn and strive to keep parents posted frequently which I appreciate. I feel comfortable contacting my child's teacher whenever I am unsure or have questions. Communication is key and I feel very comfortable with the level of communication I have with the school and staff.
