I am a volunteer and see first hand the actions and teaching that goes on in the classroom. Excellent preparation and guidance to the students.

This used to be a good school, but it has gone downhill very fast. Teachers do not respect students or give them the preparation to succeed in high school. The staff definitely play favorites, which causes them to ineffectively deal with student conflicts. Teachers take more and more "privileges" away from students every year, choosing who they sit with at lunch, and how they may spend their own study hall.

BEWARE - Under the current administration, this school's academics have GREATLY decreased over the last several years (especially at the middle school level). Administrator actions at this school idolize sports and money above all else. Head cross country and several basketball coaches are allowed to continuously use abusive behavior towards students without giving apologies or without even having their behavior checked by administration. Coaches cussing at kids is accepted. What a disappointment in what is supposed to be a "Christian" school. Despite many families coming forward to protest continuous fall in academics and the abuse from some coaches, nothing is done.

My junior high student loves the team Tuesday and Thursday lunch groups. He has met new people from other classes and found new friends with similar interests. The teachers are always trying to help students feel valued and get along with others. This is such a valuable life lesson and helps develop Christian character.

I have had four children go all the way from PK3 to 8th grade at this school. They are incredibly prepared for high school and they learn about their Lord Jesus Christ on a daily basis. Choosing Our Savior's Lutheran School is one of the best parenting choices my husband and I have made.

My children’s experience, as well as my own, at Our Savior’s has been wonderful. My oldest student, who is now at a local area public high school, went all through elementary school at Our Savior's. He is excelling academically, thanks to the rigorous academics he received in elementary school. Having received a firm Christian base at Our Savior's has enabled him to make good choices and keep him on track, as I know it will throughout his life.Something new that has been implemented at Our Savior's is “Team Tuesday” and “Team Thursday”. My understanding from my daughter is that each Tuesday and Thursday, during their 20 minute lunch, the middle school students sit with someone other than their friends. This encourages them to meet new people and include students who maybe would normally be sitting alone. It’s only 20 minutes twice a week and a great way to get students to see the importance of inclusion as opposed to exclusion, which is so common in today’s Jr. High age group.I would highly recommend Our Saviors to everyone!

We have had multiple children go through Our Saviors. While the school started out Christ focused and excelled in academics, it has taken a definite turn for the worst the last 6 years. The result is a school whose actions support raising money and sports while the academics have greatly weakened. The middle school tachers do not have control of the students so it is difficult to get material covered. The middle school students are also required to sit in assigned seats during lunch twice a week. This is not because they were misbehaving but because the teachers want to pick the students' friends instead of letting the students pick friends they have things in common with?!?! Overall, a discouraging, sad experience.

My now 41 yr old son attended Our Savior's school 1-8 grades, then on to Lutheran High for 4 yrs. He was well educated academically & spiritually during his 8 yrs there 1979-1987. He is now a successful Suprv. in corp.home office of a large corp. and is a Christ centered husband & father..in great part due to his education at Our Savior's & their caring staff.
