Every single teacher and staff member were helpful and kind. Down every hall, the walls are filled with artwork. In the morning they do a mindfulness moment and cite positive affirmations. We have had a great experience with Spencer Elementary. My student made friends and came home and said, " I love my school".

My son attends and has a multitude of issues both development and health, yet scholastically he continues to soar despite his other challenges. They continue to promote his learning and they ensure he is pushed on a daily basis to do more and do more independently. He is in the kindergarten and yet has been pushed to learn words, reading, and math skills up to the 2nd grade. Yes, and he is in the kindergarten. I am very proud of him going to his neighborhood school and him continuing to progress. I am grateful for the teachers, the staff, the Prinicipal Mr. Jackson. They knew he had challenges and they told me to bring him on and let's see what we can achieve. They NEVER backed away from us. I will never forget it. People talk about Spencer and our schools, our teachers, and they even have nerve to talk about our kids. Dont' believe everything you read. I see a lot of my classmates take their kids out of the district. They are foolish. Rather than coming in workign with the kids and the staff, they send their kids off somewhere else when they could get a quality education right here at home. It's regretful and sad that they don't stick around to help make things betters. Oh well.....we will continue to progress together. They don't know what they are missing.
