Though the student population is the smallest in rowan county North Rowan High is a great school. My son had the option to go to several different high schools but he selected North Rowan High School. This is his last year and I am going to truly miss the NRH staff.

North Rowan High School is a disgrace to this community. They take little to no precautions when it comes to threats, and or bullying. They will side with the one doing the bullying 99% of the time. The victim of the bullying gets treated like a criminal by the principal and the other kids. That is not a fair system to allow these bullies just walk away. In addition, this school is always having lockdowns due to kids bringing weapons to the school. Meanwhile, these kids are allowed to return immediately after the incident. The school will again take no action to prevent this from happening in the future as these issues still continuously happen. If the principal at this school says he is going to do something, chances are he is not going to get it taken care of and you are going to have to call and call or go down to the school and speak with him in order to have any chance of anything being done. This school and principal are not for the kids. If you can avoid sending your children to this school, I would highly recommend sending your kids anywhere but here. They need someone new in charge or an all-new school board. What they have going on currently is trash. I know I do not feel safe having any child go here.

The best school in the district and maybe in the state. This school includes all students regardless of ability or background. Even though many students come to this school behind the leadership at this school is doing everything to make sure the high school experience is the best for each individual student by finding new ways to reach every student. Not all students are meant to go to college and NRHS addresses the future for all students not just the AP/Honors students that are highlighted by this site.

To the person who has an issue with the ipods and the "waste of money" that they perceive has happened... that decision was made by the school board and the current school administration, not North High School. If you want to do something positive for the school -campaign for fair attendance zones and equal access to courses. Again a great school that has been hindered by biased decision making.

I'm a North Rowan student, & proud of it. I agree that maybe we shouldn't have spent so much money on Ipods, because maybe then, we wouldn't have so many fundraisers. But North is a great school. And our band is amazing. I should know. I hear them play everyday. I'm a band student at NRHS myself. It's a good school, please don't hate it.<3

This school isn't good, it lacks DISCIPLINE, creativeness, and diverse classes. They wastes money on unnecessary things, like the grant for iPods. They should use the money to help renew outdated items. They need to replace certain teachers cause they don't care, don't enforce discipline, and lets the students run the class. This school lacks creativity, most clubs are plain. They should create clubs that diverse kids would enjoy. And this school needs new classes. Like a class for future engineers or lawyers. Yet they lack that and force kids to take tests and our scores goes down. They need to realize that this school needs change.
