I currently have an 18 year old (graduating senior) and a 16 year old (sophomore) at WHS. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this school! The teachers are extremely helpful and the faculty is very supportive. My kids receive the help and guidance they need and my 18yr old senior was able to get into the CDI program (Collegiate Directions - a truly amazing program that offers students step by step guidance and aid throughout the college application process. The counselors stay in touch with the students through their years in University).Wheaton Knights are focused and engaged.- Judy (WHS parent)

I would say that the school overall is good, and the teachers are good, but classes are a tad big. It’s about 20 a class.

I love this school. My child has been here all 4 years and I feel like we have won the lottery with Wheaton. My child feels welcomes, supported and challenged. The school works hard to help children succeed, which isn't easy given the population served. Many have English as a second language and parents are struggling.

Ever since the opening of its new building, WHS has become a great school. Students have wide ranges of opportunities in multi-level courses and academies, school spirit is increasing every year, teachers are attentive and challenge their kids. There are a lot of slackers at Wheaton who don’t put in effort at all and fail classes, but most of the students care about their grades. I’m sure Wheaton will be seen as even better once they finish our football field. The biggest problem I have is that WHS is becoming more and more white, since the magnet programs are growing and the new building makes the school attractive. The school definitely has way less gang affiliation, but fights are still a weekly occurence and we have had issues with vandalism in the past. Overall, WHS is a great school to go to despite its bad reputation, and I wouldn’t want to spend 4 years at any other school.

Wheaton high school is a great school to be honest it is really hard no to succeed all you got to do is work and you get a good grade

If you want to make a mistake in life, go to Wheaton. The people there have lots of different bad intentions for you to choose from.

Wheaton High School makes learning and education a fun experience with 4 excellent academies and 2 excellent magnet programs! I love coming to school everyday because the teachers allow me to enjoy learning and working! They really are great teachers. The teachers are so enthusiastic and respectful! The school's diversity is beautiful and makes the school very unique.

My son goes to the Wheaton Engineering Magnet and he could not be happier. The teachers are great at the school. They are energetic and engaging with the kids. We live in Olney but because my son went to Lee Middle in the DCC he was able to apply to the Magnet. I moved to Olney for the schools and now I drive my son to and from Wheaton every day. It's worth it for the academics and school over all. Looking forward to the new school, opening this winter.
