We recently moved to the Shingle Springs area, and we have been so pleasantly surprised with how wonderful Miller’s Hill and Latrobe School District is. The small class sizes, learning atmosphere, and excellent teachers and staff make this place second to none.

We moved to the area for the highly rated schools and small town community and it was the best decision. Our kids thrived with the smaller teacher/student ratio and felt so welcomed. It was a stark difference from the previous school environment we were in and we were relieved to hear our kids happy, making friends and excited to go to school. We absolutely love the new principal Dave Scroggins and all of the teachers, as well as the PTA who care so much for the community. There wasn't a day when we didn't feel the warmth and friendly faces at the school and we were more than happy to join in on the school festivities and events. Latrobe Elementary and Miller's Hill Middle School are such a hidden gems and we would recommend this community to any family.

This is a wonderful top performing school. This kind of school environment just doesn't exist anymore. Small class sizes (under 20 kids per grade!) Lots of individual attention given. Almost all of the children make honor roll each trimester and test scores put our kids in the top percent of outstanding schools in the state of California. This school does not offer a typical jr high experience so no lockers or 7 different teachers but you also don't get the normal jr high issues either. It keeps them young just a little longer if you know what I mean. I'm very happy my children are receiving their education here.
