We moved to the area for the highly rated schools and small town community and it was the best decision. Our kids thrived with the smaller teacher/student ratio and felt so welcomed. It was a stark difference from the previous school environment we were in and we were relieved to hear our kids happy, making friends and excited to go to school. We absolutely love the new principal Dave Scroggins and all of the teachers, as well as the PTA who care so much for the community. There wasn't a day when we didn't feel the warmth and friendly faces at the school and we were more than happy to join in on the school festivities and events. Latrobe Elementary and Miller's Hill Middle School are such a hidden gems and we would recommend this community to any family.

Best kept secret in El Dorado County! Wonderful small county school that delivers on education. The test scores speak for themselves. Small class sizes, involved parents and fantastic staff. You have to live in the district to attend this fantastic school so you might want to start house hunting!

Wonderful school and staff. Great small community feel. I'm very happy with the quality of education my children are receiving from Latrobe.
