In general this school fails to meet basic/standard educational requirements. So sad ‘!!

We just withdrew our daughter from Wakefield Elementary because we're moving overseas. We've truly loved every year she's been there (3 years). She's had fantastic teachers who go above and beyond helping their students! We're really going to miss everyone! Mrs Linson is a wonderful Principal! You can really tell she truly cares about each and every one of her students! Every member of the staff I have encountered have always been so kind and go out of their way to help with what you need! I hate that they're rated low on here because they really do deserve a much better rating!

The current principal is lacking in leadership skills. Unfortunately, redistricting brought about many changes to Wakefield. The previous principal brought all of the great teachers with him to the new school- who could blame him? The new Wakefield is a disappointment. Principals in this district tend to move around quite a bit and so maybe this one will get reassigned somewhere else. I sense that teacher morale is low which is a shame for the students. The school has an "exemplary" rating which is based on future achievement, not actual achievement.
