I absolutely love Fairview school. The teachers are incredibly caring, My kid has ADHD and the school has worked to make sure my child doesn't fall behind in academics. The teachers work off the dojo app and communicate with the parents regularly. The supplies lists make sense and aren't too extensive. Pickup/Drop off is incredibly fast and well organized. The after school program is well organized and affordable. There's a safe outdoor area/ outdoor classroom that's really cool. The PTA is always offering fun and exciting events. There's not too many fundraisers. My only complaints is there's something going on everyday, hat day, falcon day, crazy sock day, idiom day, it's a lot. Overall, and most importantly, my kid loves school, there's no bullying or fighting after school. It's really great.

While I have other complaints, lately, I find myself complaining a lot about the release procedure. I pick up my daughter, drop her off at home, and head straight to work. The kids never get released on time. At the beginning it was fine, as the year moves forward the Kids are getting released later than usual. My kid is in kinder and the teachers are always running late, even though they should come out before the older kids, yet come out at the same time. The gym teacher seems like he is always irritated and ready to explode. Release time is unorganized, you can see that the people who load the children are also bothered because they are waiting on the teachers, yet no one seems to do anything about it.

The "motto" of our school is, "once a Fairview Falcon, always a Falcon". We have high school students who return as teacher interns and PALS who tell us, they loved Fairview and they knew "Fairview" loved them. The teaching and instructional staff are the best in the world. I have grandchildren attending here and I can't think of a better school for them. The staff is loving and caring about the children. We have a mentoring program where community leaders and school staff are used to mentor students who are in need to extra guidance or curriculum help. We were the first in our school district to implement this program. It has been such a success, that several schools in our district are now using this with their students. Fairview is a one of kind school - when the bell rings at 3:00 to dismiss, doesn't mean school is over for the day. Many of our teachers and staff stay after to tutor students who need special help, many of them for a long time. They don't get paid for this monetarily, just with love from the children. "Fairview Falcons are the greatest in the land - we are proud of Fairview School".

Both of my children attended Fairview Elementary. It was an excellent learning environment. Great teachers and staff. The current principal and assistant principal are both true advocates for children.
