Smallest town with the biggest heart around; that is how most people would describe Shepherd, Michigan. With a population around 1,550 people it is hard not to say Shepherd is a tight-knit community. With many sports, clubs and academic opportunities at Shepherd Public School's there is always somewhere for these students to fit in to. As a large part of any school Shepherd also has a vast array of teachers who are always more than willing to jump at the opportunity to help students academically and in their personal life if moved to do so. As Shepherd is a small town, students are provided with a very welcoming feeling as they are at school because 'everybody knows everybody.' This is possible because many students have grown up together in this community and surrounding area and there are about 480 students in the whole high school. It is known by all that if you are at this school students and staff will do their absolute best to make sure that all students feel like they are in a safe and loving learning environment.
