This is a small academically-minded interconnected community, and it cares deeply about the learning experience for all SES students. It's clear day after day that the teachers, administration, and staff love their work and all their students. While I wish SES had better funding (you can thank the elected Republicans who control the BEP formula and their State of Tennessee Department of Education for that) and that the Franklin County district as a whole could move away from some of its more archaic beliefs and instructional practices, we have continually found high quality teaching happening here regardless of what has been happening in the county and state. Our whole family has been very happy with the learning and growth our two kids have had here. They are definitely prepared for St. Andrews and the wider world because of their time at SES.

This school has wonderful teachers, who really care about the students and try to work with them as much as possible. Parents are always welcome and are allowed to volunteer anytime in a class room. I really do love this school and say its a great one to go to.
