HAVE YOU HEARD about the Classical Education renaissance! Kids ruminating on 'self' and getting caught up in politics is harmful and hard to get away from in schools these days. SCCS develops thinkers engaged in vigorous and joyous conversation among peers and their non activist teachers. Mastery is cultivated by adults that model respect for boundaries, love of family and importance of parents. Our children enjoy fieldtrips and healthy competitiveness of the SCCS House System. Students observe, try and make mistakes and are driven by the reward that comes from working hard as they develop trust, self-control and the skills to persevere. Great books are read, music is sung, debate is encouraged, art is made, history is valued, science is explored, movement is mandatory, cursive is flowing, math is mastered, theater is performed, service is celebrated and paper and pencil are used. THIS is how children grow up to be productive adults with a confident dose of self awareness.

SCCS is a one of a kind school! Students are well loved by their teachers and learn amazing things like history, art, music and foreign language from a young age and Christ is at the center of it all.

This school is a gift! I have two children attending and both love going to SCCS every single day. This school is unique. It’s a place that cares for the child as a whole person. The academics are rigorous and Christ-centered, and virtue formation is a top priority. There is nothing else like this school in Seattle. My children are being taught how to think, not what to think, and I see their hearts being molded to look more like Christ everyday. Our family is so thankful for this school and for the growth we see in our kids lives because of the school’s influence.

It is ok. The school needs improvements but it is good up until middle schools. There is no programs. Your kids will be secluded. There is no funding. The school poorly manages the money that they get. They have no access to computer. When they go off to college or high school, the kids won't know how to operate a computer. Therefore the future is aiming toward a future of ai and coding. If your kids does not know the basics of a computer they will not a have future is the world. If you send your kid here after middle school there will be no point because of all of the money your spending and the low education the school provide. The only reason you should be considering this option is if your kid has a bad attitude. The school will make sure they will be better. but beside that there should be absolutely no reason to come here. Please take my suggestion hen considering this school. Thank you.

Our kids went through Lutheran schools and had a mixed experience due to which group they went through with. Our grandkids attend SCCS and we know they are getting a great experience! We are both retired teachers who know our way around schools. This is a top notch organization. I look at the upper grade kids and see maturity levels beyond their years. Great Christian focus and a good mix of backgrounds in the student body. Love the music and art programs. Christmas concert was held at the Langston Hughes venue and was amazing.

We have loved our experience at Seattle Classical Christian School for several reasons (we have three children who started in Kindergarten and currently our eldest is in the logic school. Overall, the school has been a great environment for my kids to grow in character, grow in love for their neighbors, grow in love for God, grow in their understanding of the world around them, grow their love for learning, and grow in relationships with children and adults. The curriculum has been rigorous but not overwhelming (even when it is challenging, the teachers have been responsive and attentive to family's needs for additional support, time, encouragement or instruction). SCCS is a gem in the middle of the city!

Our family has had experience at 3 different schools (1 public and 2 private) and so we have seen that all schools have their pros and cons. We also have three children who have a wide range of learning styles. We have chosen SCCS for 2 of our children and it is a great match for them in many ways. The small class size is a huge plus to addressing learning differences quickly and making sure that no one is falling through the cracks. My children are excited to go to school and love what they are learning, which tells me a lot about their day to day experience in the classroom. The academics are a stretch for one child, but I see that a high bar is wonderful exercise in perseverance and in the end we are impressed at the grit and determination we see growing in our child.

Excellent experience, so glad this school is here in the heart of Seattle giving us a reason to stay. The Classical Christian methods are so effective, with the elementary years providing the building blocks needed for a great education. We also treasure the community at SCCS and are so blessed to be a part of it.

We had a horrible experience. While the school believes teaching complete obedience will draw children toward God, it pushed my child away and gave them serious anxiety issues. I deeply regret sending my child here.

Our 2 children are both thriving in their second year at SCCS. Initially we were drawn here because of the school's Gospel-centered mission. This aspect has exceeded every hope we had. We have experienced dedicated teachers who pursue the hearts of our children and partner with us to shape godly character and a love for learning. We also love that SCCS desires to be a presence in the city so that urban Christian families have opportunities to volunteer and live out our faith in the diverse city we love. The Classical method was new to us, and if it is to you, check out the SCCS website for more information. With this effective method we have seen an acceleration in our kid's passion and capacity for learning. We are very excited about the ways our children are being equipped to joyfully achieve their God given potential and highly recommend that you come visit and consider our school.

We choose this school for our 3rd and 4th graders when we moved to Seattle and have been thrilled with our decision. We are very impressed with the structure of the school and all this does to facilitate learning. While new to the classical method, we have become quick advocates as we have watched our children lay a foundation for life long learning. Their teacher is incredible - well organized, excellent with parent/teacher communication, great with personal attention for kids and a perfect balance of play and rigor. As a new family, we have been welcomed into a warm community of families and staff. Our children are thriving and we would highly recommend this school.

Our son is in his second year at SCCS. We are thoroughly pleased as the school has far exceeded our expectations. The academic quality is excellent and we are firm believers in the Classical Method. Weekly music classes and monthly art classes round out the academics nicely. The love and investment teachers pour into each student is easily evident. Gospel-centered instruction ties into each subject and students understand that learning is a form of worship. We appreciate the school's view that SCCS is partnered with parents to nurture and instruct children. This approach fosters a strong sense of community and camaraderie. Our family is excited about the immense potential of SCCS to shape conscientious thinkers and leaders for the future and for God's glory.

I have three children attending SCCS and this will be our third school year to be part of this school. I firmly believe that the education they are receiving at this tender age will set them apart academically and professionally in the years to come. They are all being taught to love learning, to discover and be curious and to do so with respect for each other and the world around them. My concern with Classical Education was that the kids were not going to have room to "be kids", that the academic load would be too heavy and that creativity would not be welcome. These fears turned out to be baseless. SCCS strikes that careful balance of high expectations and diligent effort from the kids but with time to be free and giving them VERY light load of homework only starting at grade 4. Our family has been very blessed by this school and recommend it without reservation.

Classical education is important to our family and the partnership SCCS does with parents for their children's education is vital and flourishing. We are so happy with the way teachers communicate about curriculum and the daily goings on in the classroom. They are truly concerned with our children's heart attitudes as well as the daily lessons. Classical education is not for every child or family, but if you value a different kind of education this school is a gem and we look forward to seeing God grow the school in years to come.

We initially chose this school primarily because of the faith aspect--we wanted our kids to receive an education that was centered on the gospel. And SCCS has definitely delivered on this. In the process, however, we have been truly impressed by the effectiveness of the classical method of education. Our kindergartner is learning so much, in a breadth and depth that we were surprised to see in a elementary program. More importantly, the amazing teachers are nurturing in her a love of learning that grows bigger by the day. Amazing school.

We have had a fantastic experience at Seattle Classical Christian School. Our two boys have been challenged, encouraged, and their love of learning has been enhanced. Our 2nd grader said, "It was awesome - we learned about God AND math!"
