So disappointed in this school! The teachers feel unheard and unsupported. The principal lacks empathy and compassion which makes it impossible for her to make decisions that are in the best interest of the students and staff. My child who used to love school, grades have dropped and absolutely dreads going to school since transferring here.

This school has a bullying culture that starts from the administration. I would never recommend anyone send their kids to this school. It is not safe for children’s emotional well being. When complaints and criticism are brought forward, it is ignored or even worse twisted back as if you are the problem. My children did have some fabulous teachers here, but they never stayed here more than a year. The problems run deep here. I am now spending all of my time and resources trying to undo what was done to my children over the past several years. They have a lack of self-confidence in education (and they are extremely bright - top 10% scoring kids), and believe they are always being judged and watched at school waiting for the moment they make a mistake. This is not a way to grow up. It truly breaks my heart- and unfortunately, no one in the district cares what is going on. In addition, classes are frequently combined with more than one grade and teachers are not properly supported. Please do yourself a favor and do not send your children here. If I could go back in time, I would.

I will not be sending my children to this school next year. The principal seems to be controlling and poor communication from my child’s teacher was observed. The teacher seemed to have a need to include the principal in everything as did the rest of the staff. I felt like everyone was afraid to do their job. When I brought up an issue that happened at the school, I was berated by the principal for the way I communicated the problem. She wasn’t helpful and neutral to the situation. It’s apparent that the school is lacking leadership.

I love the staff, teachers and especially their dynamic principal, Anitra Jones. With such a small school, everyone knows everyone, and it feels like family. They focus strongly on math and reading, and the test scores I've seen are all above the school district levels. My husband says, "This is school is really making it happen!" My only wish is that there were more extracurricular activities - beyond after school tutoring.
