We have kids in kindergarten and 2nd grade at Maple and have really loved the school. Super involved teachers who are not just teaching to do well on testing, but really do want the kids to grow and learn. Great parents and lots of support throughout the school. Surprisingly low class size for a big city public school. This school really embraces its diversity.

Maple has been a great community for our family. The teachers and staff care about our kids and have been wonderful through the challenges of the pandemic. In addition to the community, the school has access to Maple Wood Park to encourage outside time, morning walks, & after school play.

8/10 for us. We love our teachers. We're frustrated with how visible the lack of funding is, how chaotic and rushed lunch is (not to mention the poor quality of school food, and lack of choices), how bullying is dealt with, lack of a daily school nurse, but we love the teachers, and feel they are doing a wonderful job connecting with the children, and opening their minds to a holistic learning experience.
