We moved from private school to Adams Elementary and couldn't be happier with our decision. Our students are getting the academic support they need (they were academically behind when they moved from private), they were warmly welcomed to the school by students and teachers, and they have excelled in building their confidence and independence. In our experience, the teachers are amazing, the families are really nice and chill, and the students are incredibly kind. We haven't heard any instances of bullying and unkind behavior. It's wonderful to have our students in our community.

I’m so glad to have my child at Adams! All the kids really seem to look out for each other and the parents and teachers I’ve encountered are supportive and encouraging. I love the Social Emotional learning focus and family focused events at the school.

Adams Elementary has been a wonderful experience for our family. The school creates a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where students are encouraged to grow not just academically, but as individuals. The teachers at Adams are truly exceptional. From day one, we’ve been struck by how much they genuinely care for the children. Their enthusiasm and ability to inspire creativity have made a lasting impact on our child. They go above and beyond to foster leadership, teamwork, and a love for learning, which we are so grateful for.Another highlight of Adams Elementary is the excellent communication. The staff keeps parents well-informed and engaged with what’s happening at the school. Whether it’s regular updates on academic progress, upcoming events, or addressing any concerns, we always feel in the loop and confident that we can easily reach out when needed. The staff’s dedication to fostering a safe and respectful learning environment is equally impressive. We can’t recommend Adams Elementary highly enough. It’s a school where the staff’s warmth, care, and passion for teaching create an environment where children can thrive in every way.

Very upset with the response of school administration and staff to a complaint regarding bullying. Condescending response and a defensive response instead of an empathetic reassuring action plan response.

Adams Elementary has a special Social Emotional curriculum that started post covid, and as a result I think students have better conflict resolution skills and value kindness above other traits. We have been at Adams 7 years between two kids and it’s a truly wonderful school.

Two years in and we are all pretty happy for the most part.

We have been at Adams for the last 5 years and the previous comment made me feel compelled to add my review. We've loved our experience at Adams and have especially enjoyed the art infused curriculum. The teachers are excellent and really connect with the kids and motivate them to learn. The music program is especially good with a very talented music teacher. My kids have not felt bullied at all and I have not seen or heard any major issues with this and it is not because of a lack of discussion about bullying. The PTA is very involved but in a very supportive way, providing a lot for the school and teachers that the district is not capable of providing. I highly recommend this school!

We've been to a few schools, public and private, and comparatively, Adams is somewhat typical for an overwhelmingly predominantly caucasian school in a relatively privileged area of the neighborhood. The kids seem to run wild. Bullying is rampant. Pick up time is chaotic with parents clogging the halls, which are overcrowded already due to general overcrowding of the school, and kids running, disregarding rules and order. "Arts" focus is nominal. There are good teachers there, of course, but some needed to retire long ago- their disdain for children and attempts to manipulate them and their parents is not even concealed.Their solutions to bullying are to promote an 'inclusion always' stance with no caveat that if children are bullying, other children should not be forced to play with them. Their solution is that children should tell the principal- little kids should feel like they can just go talk to the principal, which is totally unrealistic. In three years, I have never entered the front office and been greeted in a friendly manner - no basic smile or good morning in reply to my friendly greeting- they sincerely appear to hate their jobs.

There are some terrific teachers and staff at Adam's elementary however the focus on the "arts" is clearly not a good choice. The SBAC exam performed this last spring 2015 is a clear result of not focusing on the basics, 30% of the 5th graders did not meet standard on the math portion of the test. I'm tired of listened to the old excuses from parents and teachers. Hopefully the new principal will overhaul things and will listen to the good teachers and not the over bearing PTA parents controlling the school.

Wonderful, neighborhood school with supportive teachers and staff. We love it here and our children are learning so much! Thank you Adams!
