- Submitted by parent on July 24, 2014This is THE worst school my kids have had the misfortune to attend. Both the elementary and high school principals and support staff consistently show a lack of communication, consideration, and actually bully the teachers, students and parents. Some teachers and students have actually been harassed and assaulted by them. The superintendent does the same. If at all possible, DO NOT send your children to this district.
- Submitted by parent on June 26, 2014The Schoharie Elementary Principal has a long history of poor communication and NO respect for single parents- especially if you are a member of the military. Complaints by parents- regarding bullying being ignored, disrespect by her to parents- are white washed on the School Board minutes- by School board secretary Rose Wilbur- who (coincidently) is the Schoharie Elementary school secretary. If you as a parent (or staff) complain or object to this poor treatment- you are targeted and blacklisted. There ARE some good teachers in the school- but many others who grew up in Schoharie, and now teach there and are well versed in apathy. Many of them have great trouble with basic computer literacy. If you wish for your child to struggle their entire life- then definitely send them here. Sadly, much of the community is equally apathetic and unmotivated.
