If you’re looking to do school differently and PARTNER in your child’s education academically and spiritually, look no further. It’s not just a school, it’s a community. CCS is a body of believers who strengthen, encourage, and set forth academic and spiritual foundations that will make a lifelong impact! The administration is simply amazing and the families are wonderful. This is home.

Decent academics. Poor administration. Faith and Family did not apply here. Christian values were not demonstrated. We love the hybrid model and looked forward to the days of in-person schooling. However, it was not worth it when the treatment and social modeling was so ingenuine. Raising our children to be good people is more important to us, and we realized a good education and good character training can easily occur elsewhere. Our advice - pay attention and remain vigilant.

The teachers are sweet and really do care about the kids. The homeschool days can be tough. Some days barely any work and some days the workload is through the roof. The new administration however is terrible. How they deal with situations is completely inappropriate. How they can talk down to the kids and belittle them is mind-blowing. If you don't work there, volunteer heavily or go to church there, you are an automatic outsider. The school is very cliquey. The are struggling financially and have had lot of turnaround in the student population. They also do not accept the Step Up for Students scholarship.

I love the parent involvement at this school! I feel like I really know the parents of my child's classmates. I also like that it is a small school and my son knows kids in all grades, but most importantly I appreciate their character trait awards each month. My son was a little beat down from his previous public school experience where his teacher often complained that all the boys are bad all the time. I'm glad he can see that is not true!

We have been at Coastal for two years. The first year was amazing and we loved it. However, they hired lots of new administrators and it has changed. From the very first day of this year, it has been a struggle. The grace they always ask for is only expected one way. Don’t expect the administration to extend grace to the students or parents or even the teachers. The Christian community environment I experienced last year is NOT what is present now. I am so sad for the teachers who have to endure the pressures of the principal and assistant principals. The way we are treated as parents is unacceptable. This is not how a Christian school should operate. It’s unfortunate to see a school that had so much potential be ruined by the new administration.

We came to Coastal Community School after having somewhat stressful situations at the local public school. At CCS there are about 60 students K-8, and my daughter loves it! Their "hybrid" model allows us to be home with her two days a week and do schoolwork that has been laid out by her teachers. Two other days a week she attends school which is very nurturing and caring, teaching compassion and values that we have in our home. Fridays are enrichment days, and she enjoyed learning the violin, doing science experiments, art, sewing, and more. Her schoolwork is finished during the day every day, so we now enjoy evenings as a family instead of more homework. Her teachers are both engaging and caring. We couldn't be happier!
