some teachers are very disrespectful or even have been involved with students and still have not been let go. it’s very disappointing seeing how how everyone was so excited and now everyone’s leaving the school or wants nothing to do with it. considering they’ve had much progress at a different school i now know it was the environment

Santana has exceeded our expectations this year. My son’s counselor, Lori Compton, is amazing. She had been extremely supportive and knowledgeable in answering our inquiries throughout the school year.

10 out of 10 my experience at this school built a great platform for the rest of my life......made my years at SDSU very successful and basically easy in my eyes.

Part 2 After being assured his correct schedule had been reconstructed and all was taken care of. He went to a class he was told was his correct engineering program class only to be told by a teacher that he was in the wrong class and that he should go to a different class for that period. However, the class he was told to attend was the Geometry class that he had just attended the period before. As it turned out, the engineering class he was scheduled for was apparently an 11th grade course that he should never have been scheduled into in the first place. When I tried to go to the school website to email a counselor or principal or someone to ask what all the issues were about or at least get some intelligent advice, it appears the website is shutdown. When I tried to access the district site to see if I somehow had a bad link to the school site, the District site appeared to have been shutdown. Great first impression Santana and Grossmont Union School district. If a student performed the way the school has thus far, the parents would probably be informed the kid had ADHD and needed to be placed on medication. Disgusted and embittered, Scott Smith Lakeside, CA

Santana High School's faculty is part of my inspiration to get both a Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Arts in Literature. In fact, my history teacher inspired me to look at literature through a historical lens by making us interact with it through hands-on applications. Unfortunately, there are bad apples everywhere and many people don't know how to differentiate using logical sequences.

WOW, Santana High School has feels like a college. They have brought in an engineering program that links up with SDSU. When looking at what school my child should attend I was impressed with their test scores and the small size of the student population compared to other schools, it feels like a private school that you should be paying big bucks for. The campus has new classrooms, athletic areas and future construction projects are being paid for by two bonds that have already been passed.

This school doesn't offer as many acedemic classes as I would like and doesn't seem to challenge me.
