Our son was bullied at Emblem Academy both physically and emotionally. Despite multiple eye witnesses to the bullying who reported issues, the administration did nothing much about it. The bullies kept on bullying and more came out the woodwork to bully my son because they could see how there were no consequences to bullying. This school is a haven for bullies as they will be protected while the administration tries to intimidate the victims and their family. The administrators of this school will try to sweep the bullying under the rug and victimize the victim.

Didn't actually try to deal with problems, a lot of bias. Kids are just taught they get handed everything and the word is one big fluffy cloud. Great principle though (;

Don't let the glowing reviews fool you. We were so excited to go to Emblem at first. We were so excited about the stem program which in my opinion has fallen short. The activities that they do can easily be done at home by watching a you-tube video. With 3 children attending and being a working parent...I quickly realized that if you do not volunteer in the classes you are probably not going to get the same treatment from teachers. We have now been at this school for four years and it's still the same. The ones that donate items and spend all their time are the ones who get all the accolades...student of the month, circle of friends, the teachers they want for the next year and the awards at graduation. One child received over 5 award at last years graduation. There were many kids that could have received them... with so many kids receiving honors for good grades. How hard would it of been to make a check off list and spread the love. It's definitely a who you know and who sucks up the most. Every time we turn around they as for "donations for something" Is this not a public school? And this year they are asking for direct donation of money to fund activities....But I'm sure later on in the year they will have a jog-a-thon, or some some sort of fundraiser to get more $$. The reason for the high scores are most kids at this school have only one working parent. Many SAHM who have the time to really focus on their child development. I do not believe the teachers are exceptional. I believe they are just doing what they have to do.

My children have had excellent teachers and wonderful experiences at Emblem. Admin provides superb vision and leadership. Teachers are enthusiastic and dynamic. Character counts and learning is a priority. Students love their opportunities to work with STEM, and parents are thrilled to have their children participate in science, technology, engineering, and math. It is a wonderful place to be!

My eldest started Kindergarten in 2014, and of course as most parents feel, I was terrified sending my child into the hands of a complete stranger. However, over the course of the next few weeks and months, I was fortunate enough to witness first hand the love, warmth, patience, and compassion his teacher had for each and every child, which was so reassuring. Now he is in 2nd Grade and and my middle child is in Kindergarten, with the same teacher, which I am so relieved about. I love the fact that I can email the teachers with concerns or queries and that they are more than happy to work with you. The PTA are fantastic and work so hard to give our children, and parents, a wonderful experience. The principle, Mr Baker, has done an exceptional job making sure everything runs smoothly. His dedication and detail does not go unnoticed. Overall this is a fantastic school with an incredible program with teachers and staff who seem happy to come to work everyday and clearly love what they do.

This school is so amazing. I could not be happier with the amazing things my kids get to learn that they did not have the opportunity at their old schools. We have attended Emblem since the reopening. The STEM program and STEMinars are helping open their minds to so many possibilities in their future. The teachers are the best and so is the administration. The school feels more like a big family. The yard supervisors are amazing as well. Unfortunately at our last school we had issues with them not watching the kids. My kids throughly enjoy school and missed it so much over the summer. That speaks volumes to me. We are so blessed to be apart of the Eagle team. A huge thank you to all those who work at the school including Richard the amazing custodian who keeps the school clean and running. Each staff member is welcoming and I know they are all watching out for the kids. They genuinely love the kids and their jobs.

Our kids went to a private school before we moved here 3 years ago. When it was time for us to buy our own home, we knew it wasn't possible to have 3 (now 4) in private school. When we saw the house and that Emblem would be our school we did our research. It was enough for us to bid on the house. I am so glad we got it, because Mr. Baker is the most AMAZING Principal I have EVER seen. He truly cares about his staff, the students and his school. He is so amazing that our daughter has said, "I hope to be a Principal just like Mr. Baker one day. " She had the opportunity to be Principal for the day and told me that he is one of her favorite people and he works so hard. It's true. Weather it be walking from class to class each day, to wishing each kid a Happy Birthday on their day, to getting slimed or dressing like a super hero. Thank you Mr. Baker and all of the AMAZING teachers and Mrs. Loscos for BLOWING away private schools and making us proud to call Emblem our school <3

Emblem has an ESTEEM program that makes it stand out. The teachers are great and so is the office personnel. The PTA is very strong. The principal is a visionary and an energetic leader. One negative I have noticed, which not sure if other schools do this or not - seems to me that they tend to rate kids lower in the beginning of each school year and then higher, which I suppose can have many reasons but one negative implication is the discouragement my kid experiences, while her knowledge in reality didn't diminish between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next one. Go figure.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of bullying at this school, psychological and physical bullying by the students. The School & District deny, minimize, or deflect what really happened and nothing much is done about it. Significant portion of the students have trouble controlling their behavior in the classroom and out in the playground. Don't believe the hype about the STEM (the STEM program is minimal). They just voted to wasted $17,000 of PTA money (money that parents and students worked hard for) on an electronic billboard for the school. That's right, they spent $17,000 on an electronic billboard, when they only have $27,000 in the PTA account. It doesn't make any sense. This money should have and should be spent on enrichment programs for the students (and the students didn't get enrichment like art, music. They didn't even get a field trip the past two years). It has newer classrooms and smart boards and some good teachers that's about all.

Emblem is a fantastic school that offers ESTEEM program. They often have NASA, technology and many other events. Principal is enthusiastic and interacts a lot with students. Teachers/parents communication is also great.
