Our 3 sons graduated from Sanger Academy Charter. It was created to provide parents the option of a more rigorous academic environment. While this means mandatory school uniforms, it also emphasizes music and art as catalysts, rather than addendums, to academics.Being around like-minded students in a smaller environment, our son's flourished and easily transitioned into their high schools, and eventually University. We feel that these early years truly set the academic tone for their lives.

SAC sets high standards for academics, citizenship, activities, and sports. Our son, David, a charter member as a fifth-grader at SAC, got his start in music on SAC's Jazz Band. Our grandchildren, Troy and Linea enjoy the challenges of SAC's high academic standards. We look forward to their successes at SAC.

Sac, through the eyes of a 4th grader. "I like SAC because the teachers make math challenging, but fun. Also, the ELA stories are interesting and with good themes to help us respect others. The lunch is delicious, most of the time. Lastly, we have the perfect amount of recess--three recess breaks."

The school itself is great. The teachers are very supportive and helpful when you need it. But the students? Not so much.

I graduated from this school a couple of years ago, and academically, now that I am a high school student, the educational foundation has helped me considerably. A majority of the SAC graduates go on and take Honors classes in high school, and the classes are no more complicated than ones we had taken at SAC. There is a drawback, that the school is small and later in high school it may cause a culture shock going from a class of 60 to a class of 600. And a school of 300 to 2000. But I did not experience said culture shock, and all of the extra curriculars offered (band, guitar, sports, art) definitely benefited me. And the friends I made there, well, I'm still friends with them today(another benefit, having basically grown up along side my fellow students). Go Bears!

I am a student currently attending Sanger Academy and this will be my last year. I have attended this school for four years and I really appreciate all of my teachers. I'm very happy that I got to meet everybody there. What's great about this school are the challenges that you are given. It is an absolute privledge to be a part of the Sanger Academy family. I'm also very happy that I was a part of the first 8th grade class to welcome the new principal, Mrs. Platt, to the Sanger Academy family. I'm currently a 4.0 student; I couldn't have done it without my friends, parents, and teachers. -Amaris M.
