Good school but why would we partner with such a hazardous school YBHS.

The school is nice. This is my first year here and it is amazing. The only problem is probably that it's literally IN Yerba Buena High School. A bomb threat was announced at that high school, meaning the middle school, had to follow along as well. Turns out it was a false alarm, but that doesn't make it any better. Despite this, the school is a grand 5-star! I would recommend this school. It might as well be the best school in the district, maybe even the state! Hopefully, see you all at College Connection Academy soon.

Great school. The biggest thing on my mind is the students. Kids at this school are much nicer than those in other middle schools, since you need good grades to get in. The environment is calm, most teachers are supportive, and you get to meet a lot of different people in your time here. Some people will complain about the homework, but if you learn how to adapt and pick up the pace, you can deal with it. The food is good, classes are fun, and you get to take some advanced classes. Other people making reviews say that leadership is basically useless, but it’s more of a group that supports the whole school and boosts morale instead of leading it. Leadership students are the nicest I’ve met, and they’re very happy with what they do for the school. I wouldn’t say bullying is a big problem around here, since most students are usually just focused on their work and no one has the time or luxury to bully others. CCA has a very relaxed atmosphere, and my friend, who was depressed and suicidal, got the help she needed. The only problem that I’d note is the fact that we’re right next to YBHS. The first semester of seventh grade, there was already a bomb threat made by one of the high school students, and the police came. We were lucky it was a false threat. In terms of safety, by itself, CCA is solid, but YB is a bit of a hazard. Overall, it’s an enjoyable school that I’d recommend, and I’ll guarantee that if you enter with the right intentions, you’ll find some good stuff along your education path.

This is great academically but can also stress students out with tons of homework. I am currently attending this school and its pretty okay but it just gives me lots of homework in short spans of time and its very stressful.

This school is a very great place to turn, it gives us a chance to be ahead . There's no issues, the teachers are very nice and do not stress us out.

I genuinely enjoy the school, although the student body can be a bit strange. The teachers (so far) genuinely care about their students and give you second chances for the most part. They assign a reasonable amount of homework, although it can pile up quickly if you just ignore one assignment. As for elective classes, there aren't many to choose from other than music, art and leadership. Leadership doesn't affect the school all that much. The students can be a bit hit or miss. Some of them are kind and some of them aren't. They have a strange sense of humor, to say the least. However, compared to other schools in the same area, we are definitely ahead in the curriculum. If you want to get ahead, this is a great school for that.

This school at the current moment is OKAY. You can tell some of the teachers genuinely care and are great people, the others are eh. You either get a good teacher or a bad teacher, but overall, if you want a school that somewhat teaches you ahead of other schools and you’re low on income, it’s a good choice. The homework can be pressuring sometimes, but the teachers are understandable and sometimes you can get second chances. The leadership group at the school doesn’t really affect people, so it’s basically irrelevant. Not much bullying, but the kids here at the moment sure are strange, to say the least.. That’s besides the point. Come here if low income and want to be ahead. Easy explanation.

I've tried holding back on writing a review for this school, because I believed that I would enjoy my experience more after some time

I really dislike it, especially the principle and the councilor. They are rude to everyone and only talk to you when you get in trouble because theyre nosey.

Don't go, you'll just be barking up the wrong tree.

I used to attend this school. Although I loved the community of students, the teachers and staff were a whole different story. A lot of them were disrespectful and condescending to the students, including the principal. In addition, whenever I was spoken to by any of the staff, I felt almost no attempts of respect by the staff members. I got this vibe of "I'm tired of my job" from them, but this is just my personal opinion and experience. I understand that many other students actually enjoyed their time at this school.

I took classes at this school before i had to move away. All the teachers and staff were nice and were very helpful when it comes to education.

Very intimate learning environment. Seems to value students working in a community like setting.
