All four of my kids go to Saint Cecilia's. Extremely happy with the school.

I am very impressed. This school has dealt with some major transitions in the last few years (both expected and unexpected). The current leadership of the school and parish are working diligently to continue to deliver a high quality (and future aware) education within an amazing community of families, neighbors and parishioners.

This school is well run, traditional but also now forward-thinking with new administration and capital campaign. It is a growth-school and still a powerhouse of a school in West San Francisco

While being an alternative family, we have been welcomed with open arms. An exceptional community in which everyone stays involved

This school is trying to represent the value of Catholic education in a time when older forms of learning such as cursive writing are being phased out and replaced in the name of technological convenience. As such some might look at the school sideways and judge it from the outside however the value of discipline and community will always be relevant.

Wonderful. All 4 of my children attended St. Cecilia and they loved it. Would and do recommend it frequently.

A lot of bullying goes on at this school. In particular, there is a lower grade teacher who happens to be the biggest bully at the school. She bully's children, parents and even some faculty members. For many years parents (and even some faculty members) have complained about her behavior to the administration but unfortunately nothing serious has been done to correct it. The school is also extremely cliquey. Students are cliquey due to the fact that they come from cliquey parents (many of the parents are graduates of the school and posses entitlement behavior). So if you are hoping to raise an emotionally balanced/compassionate child who will be surrounded by supportive environment that demonstrates fair treatment towards all children and all families then DO NOT send your child to Saint Cecilia's. Also, Saint Cecilia's is a feeder school to many parochial high schools in San Francisco so unfortunately you can only expect the same bad behavior to continue. Given our particular experience, we feel Saint Cecilia's motto should change to "The Meanest, The Lowest, and The Worst." They certainly have earned it.

I graduated from this school nearly 3 years ago, and I am aware a lot may have changed since my departure. As I mentioned, the principal recently passed away in a sudden and tragic manner. The monsignor who overlooked the school and adjacent church retired around the same year. Therefore, the administration has most likely completely changed since then. I have heard that leaders of the school (principal, head priest etc.) have not been consistent since, with people occupying the job for a couple of months or a year or two just to be replaced. I have also since heard that a preschool has been implemented, and I do not think this is a wise idea at all. It seems to be a way to get more money, and I cannot vouch for the quality of care they could actually provide as a preschool. I just generally don't think the quality of the school (while I was there) mixed well with the length of which students had to stay there. I was there for 9 whole years of my life, from Kindergarten to 8th grade, and a lot of harmful mindsets were instilled into me. And I know it was not just my own experience on a case-by-case basis, as the retreats at the end of my time there allowed me to see just how clearly the school has negatively impacted every one of my classmates. Some were more depressed than others, and no amount of popularity or academic success that was placed on them by the community helped to negate that. My old classmates from SC who have since migrated to the same high-school as me are going through high-school to varying degrees of success. I feel like some have matured and are starting to unlearn the bad habits they have picked up from SC. Others seem to be unable to grow up from the way they learned to make friends at SC, and as a result, are still getting caught up in drama that is then impacting other parts of their lives negatively. When my high-school peers ask me which school I came from prior and I mention Saint Cecilia, more than once have they looked at me with surprise and said that I did not act/look like an SC alumn. Apparently, this is because there is a negative stereotype established already that the kids who come from SC are mean, drama-prone, and stuck-up; so much perpetuated that it comes to a surprise when an "SC kid" isn't those things. I think that should speak for itself. Please take my review with a grain of salt.

One of the most hostile and toxic environments for young minds and souls. As a childcare worker, I could never imagine treating children the way they do at saint Cecilia

This is a great school with wonderful teachers who truly care about their students.
