My experience with O’Melveny school is excelent as most of the teachers I personally know will go the extra mile for their students. The administration may seem strict with parents but I know they look for the best to our students. I know my child will be safe and the staff will take care of them. During the pandemic the teacher of my son made everything possible to help us to keep up with the new teaching environment. I visited the school several times for technical support and the person there was so helpful and the principal always kept us informed during the Zoom meetings for parents. Thank you O’Melveny for take care of my son and for the support during this harsh times!

Our son has attended O'Melveny Elementary School since preschool. He is currently in the 3rd grade and each of his teachers has been wonderful and has fostered his love of learning. Each year they have recognized his academic strengths and ares of growth that he needs and have helped me guide him along the way. The teachers and parents are all so welcoming as well.

O’Melveny Elementary is a wonderful school who employs conscientious staff that collaborates to insure the success of all its students. I have witnessed how caring and concerned Principal Vidrio is in his efforts to provide the best learning environment for all. The teachers are also genuinely concerned about the well-being of their pupils. They work to insure that there is a safe and supportive atmosphere to learn where social and emotional needs can be addressed. Your student will feel welcomed and happy at O’Melveny ES, and most of all, get a great education!

O'Melveny Elementary is a good school, they have the human force, infrastructure, and technology needed to be a great school. Teachers and staff are always willing to help their students and parents; I'm pretty sure parents and students are great since I have never heard a complaint about bullying or any other serious problem. I strongly recommend O'Melveny for any parent looking for a school for their children.

Teacher are qualified to train kids, they give up easily on children that straggle in learning, they don't have a plan how to help the kids and they don't involved the parent for the kids education..

You can't be 4 out of 5 stars on the fake scale when you are 4 out of 10 on a real scale. 2 out of 5 would be correct if the community weren't less than 4s.

We have our youngest and I have no idea what they are doing. At other schools( been at 3 now with older kids), we were always sent home a weekly packet to show what they are covering for the week, when they have their spelling tests etc..Even at the back to school the teacher asked why do I need a parent conference???? What!!! Usually teachers welcome this..and give specific times and days! I get homework back occasionally that has no notes..not even a happy face..so I always send it back thinking the teacher didn't see the work...again no clue..the website hasnt been touched since 2006?? No money in budget..PLEASE! Oh and finally, we don't get any calls..no reminders..update of anything...very sad!

I am a parent with a child of special needs, so I am rating the school based mostly on the Special Education Dept. The special ed. teachers are excellent...I would actually say they are the best of the best. My child is now moving on to middle school, and I have never been so sad to have to say goodbye. The school also hired a new principal two years ago which made a tremendous difference on improving the general education, and moral of the school. I truly cant express enough on what a wonderful school this has become, and the difference it has made on my child...academically and socially.
