Dude, i hate this school. It’s terrible, there are people who bully others, the teachers are okay, but i learn nothing here. i learn nothing, we do the same thing every day and i learn nothing from it. It may be just how smart(4 grade levels above average) i am or something else. i hate it here

My child has told me how they get bullied and some teachers just let her get bullied. I had to talk to the parents to stop it and kids started calling her snitch. We had to move schools because of them

I have had a really good experience this year. I have two kids enrolled and I thought I couldn't afford Catholic education but their financial assistance makes it to where this education is very affordable. Independence is highly encourage and I noticed the difference in my child. Its a small tigh nit community and there is a lot of parent involvement which I really like. Everyone knows of each other and parents in the school are always willing to help.

My family and I have been part of the St. Rita’s school community for 9 years now. We originally enrolled our son at preschool, thinking that it would just be for a year or two and then move on to public school. Little did we know the impact the school and staff would have on him and our family. From the beginning, you can see and feel how much the staff truly cared for the students. The program the preschool offered and still offers is enriching, and fully engaged my hyper and easily bored toddler. By the time he was ready to move on to kindergarten, he was already on the verge of reading! We were so impressed with what they did for my son, that once he was ready for Kindergarten, he continued into St. Rita’s school and we also enrolled our daughter into their preschool. The one thing that I was truly touched by was how well all the kids, from all the grades interacted with each other. Both my son and daughter already had friends with the kids at the “Big school”, even when they were still in preschool. The older kids looked out for the younger kids, like an older sibling would. Not once have my children complained about bullying at St. Rita’s. I attribute this a lot to the culture and teachings of the faculty. The teachers not only knew their students well, but they also took the time to get to know the students from other grades. Every teacher my children have had, has brought their own creativity and value into St. Rita’s school. If you are were thinking about Catholic education for your children, St. Rita’s school is the answer. This is a school that truly practices what they preach and teach the kids. It is a family-based community, where not only do the children make life long friends, but so do the parents. Sending our children to St. Rita’s has been one of the best investments we’ve made in our kids and one of our biggest blessings. Even if you may think or assume that you cannot afford to send your kids to St. Rita’s, please talk to our Principal. She has been the biggest advocate and reason why our school has been able to offer financial assistance to those that need it. You will not find a harder working school leader than the one we have.

This is our first years but I could genuinely say that we are very happy at St.Rita's and we are looking forward for a great year and many more to come.

Overall, the kids are great. The community however, is very divided. The principal lacks leadership qualities. The school will take any student, but doesn't have the resources to fully support students with special educational needs. The staff are expected to work upwards of 60 hours a week, work on weekends, and evenings. Burnout is common. I don't recommend this school.

My son has flourished at this school. It's a jewel in inner city San Diego. High quality academics and encouragement to excel have made a huge difference for my eighth grader.

Focuses on Religion and Spelling. Math is easy and simple and there are minimal word problems.

My husband and I expect a lot from a school, we place a premium on quality education because we believe that our children deserve it and that we owe it to them. And we are happy and proud to say that St. Rita's has exceeded all expectations. It is everything you expect in a quality Catholic education - which is not only the formation of the intellect but also faith, morals, and values - with a great community of involved parents, caring teachers, & an engaging principal. High praises for this school's first-rate learning experience and it's many intangibles. The proof is in my children.
