As a current student this school dose not care for my mental or physical health,there was a condom found by students on the black top, kids at my school say highly racist things,the new principal is horrible.on tacky day (a day we’re we dress up as something funny or something we would wear normally) the new principal dressed up as “us” the students mocking us.

It’s complicated but hixson is a good school in most aspects the teachers are nice and there are some cool classes but the administration doesn’t care what we think my friends started eating outside because of Covid and our safety and when the weather was bad they would let us eat in the hall until they stopped letting us we tried to explain our side but the principals and other people don’t really listen about this kinda stuff also they added a new fancy part to the school but didn’t add gender neutral bathrooms so I would have to walk pretty far to just do something that would take 2 minutes I have met some amazing people there and the clubs are pretty good so that’s why my ratings higher the teachers are great but they never actually listen to us as students treating us like our opinions don’t matter

As a sixth grader this school cares about no bulling just report it to the pricaplals and they punish the person.

The district does not care about the students. TheWGSD Administration is a mess, which is negativelyimpacting the students. I was sexually harassed andgroped by another student and the district swept itunder the rug. They didn't contact my parents, andthe student wasn't properly reprimanded. Teachershave been leaving the district at an alarming rate,because they are underpaid and treated poorly bythe district.

Bullying is out of control at this school and the administration would rather blame the victim than do something about the problem. Very few teachers at this school are responsive or invested, most seem to be coasting.The one bright spot we had was the choir teacher. She was amazing.

Mediocre school with lackluster teaching and well-intentioned but ineffectual leadership. While there are a few bright spots on the teaching staff, most of the teachers appear to be doing the bare minimum. Parents should be aware that there continues to be a significant problem with bullying in the school.
