Forsyth School is a remarkable place--where academic achievement and challenge are supported by focus on the whole child. Work in sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and community building is shared by the entire school community--faculty, staff, students and caregivers. The result is JOY!

A full focus on children being seen and known as people and learners is on full display at Forsyth. The faculty is top-notch and the attention children get has been amazing. My daughter (grade 2) is in her fourth year at the school and has grown so much - socially and academically.

We sent our daughter to Forsyth many years ago, when she was in Pre-K. This spring, she will graduate. Forsyth school is not only challenging academically but it prepares students to be successful in secondary school and beyond. More importantly to me, a child from Forsyth is a kind person who realizes the world is much bigger and complex than their small bubble on Wydown. Our family made amazing friends with both parents and teachers. The community is caring and our child is the best person she could be.

Both of my children graduated from Forsyth School. It was an amazing experience for them - and they were so prepared for their secondary schools. The teachers at Forsyth do a great job of helping students develop a love of learning. Students are known, loved, and supported! Hands down, the best elementary school in St. Louis!

We had a great experience in the early years, but after kindergarten, it became a pressure cooker. My son cried every day after school because the teachers made him feel so inadequate. In third grade, he had more than an hour of homework each night and if he didn't finish they took away recess. Even if he did finish, if he got things wrong, they kept him in. The school talks a good talk, but they do not respect learning differences or even the slight age and developmental differences in a class. A friend with a high performing daughter found they couldn't accommodate her either-- they teach to some set of expectations that don't accommodate kids who excel or lag and we all know every kid needs respect and support for whatever unique set of abilities they have at a given age. Despite leaving great friends behind, my son has turned back into a happy kid since we left. It took a long time to restore his confidence and to remove the fear from homework, but time heals. I hope this helps other families to know the potential for harm here .

I love walking into the classrooms to laughter during the learning process. The teachers do an amazing job of not only teaching academics, but also teaching the importance of character and social responsibility. Both of my children love school and are thriving as individuals at this special place.

Both of my kids have loved Forsyth. They are very different students with different interests, yet the teachers are committed to supporting their individual needs. Forsyth challenges kids in a variety of ways, from academics to arts to athletics. They also challenge kids to think critically and empathetically--to care about their world and the people in it.

I have two children three years apart at Forsyth. Both started in PreK. The first few years at the school built an incredibly valuable base that has allowed them to work smoothly through the subsequent years. The teachers are attentive, and focus on my children's individual needs. I have no doubt other parents in the school share these experiences. The challenge days are particularly inspiring. During these days students are taken out of their typical daily routines and asked to step up, take on new challenges, face fears and work together to overcome obstacles. I'm certain it's a better experience than most parents had growing up.

Forsyth has given my daughter more than I could have ever asked. Every teacher knows her, supports and challenges her and believes in her...and she now believes in herself. She works hard, she expresses herself and she uses her voice because she's not afraid of failure. I feel like Forsyth is one of the best gifts I'll ever give her. She has the foundation she needs for her life. I couldn't ask for more.

I found the school very good academically and liked the personalization of the math instruction. I felt howver that the teachers were clueless regarding social interaction amongst the children and there was amazing clique-iness.
