I went to Glenridge Elementary and loved it, but when I had to go to middle school, it was just too much for me. The teachers were supportive enough, but they didn’t accommodate to meet my needs as a person with ADHD, ASD, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and possibly Bipolar 2. They failed to provide me with a comfortable environment, and now I’m not going there anymore. I missed over a hundred days of 6th grade, and missed my friends a lot. They even called CPS on my mom at one point. Long story short, neurodivergent kids probably want to steer clear, but otherwise, great school!

My kids transferred in from another district and the leaders, teachers, community, and students were wonderful. The workload was much higher than our previous district and my kids struggled at first but the support was phenomenal. Help is always an option from teachers. Counselors cared and knew all the students when we toured the building. I also loved that phones were not allowed at school even during lunch so kids had to communicate. Love this school!

Excellent faculty & staff! The school offers ample opportunities for kids that are looking for a challenge. The school is not only focused on educating the kids in academics but also strives to develop their personalities. I foresee the kids coming from Wydown Middle school to be well rounded individuals that are prepared for High School and ultimately will become good citizens of society.

Quite disappointed in the school. Lack of challenge at all levels, poor communication, no flexibility shown to do the right things for their students. Problems start with the Principal and work their way down to all levels.
